I just made the gut-wrenching connection between the "you don't want to know me, I will just let you down" in Castles Crumbling and the "You wouldn't take my word for it if you knew who was talking" in Dear Reader...

Having an entire song where Taylor’s like “listen u dumb bitch. U are not the exception. He does not love you.” Only for the very next song to be “I can see our souls meeting no matter the time period…we were meant to be”. Honestly peak romantic behavior. It’s like looking at two pages of my diary side by side. Both are about the same person.

I get way more emotional and nostalgic with the re-recordings

every time there’s a new re-recording someone says that all the emotion is gone and every time i’m like??? are we listening to the same album??? are your ears special somehow???

Foolish One can be connected to many other Taylor songs but the connection that sticks out the most to me is with Speak Now (song) with the lyrics “Cause you got her on your arm and me in the wings, I'll get your longing glances, but she'll get your ring” which can directly be the prelude to the entire speak now (song).
