And then they are utterly awestruck when in the captions on Netflix he is referred to as "Phillip" and not real life person Hugh Grant

i know merlin is supposed to be represented by the colour blue and arthur for red for the contrast and symbolism but imagine merlin in pendragon red. SPECIFICALLY arthur making him wear pendragon red

like??? arthur ordering merlin to wear a red cloak or something and merlin does it because why not its just a cloak, not knowing that he has just put on what is basically arthur's claim on him for everyone in the castle to see

the idea of owning a colour and then putting that colour on someone to show that they belong to you???? actually losing my mind
