Rhaenyra Doesn't Want To Be A Man Because She Feels Like One, She Isn't Trans
Rhaenyra doesn't want to be a man because she feels like one, she isn't trans
She wants to be a man because if she was her mother probably wouldn't have died, if she was there wouldn't have been a war, her claim wouldn't have been questioned, if she was a man she wouldn't need to earn the respect of the lords or the smallfolk, if she was a man they would've handed her their respect on a silver platter with a side of caviar
She wants to be a man because her whole life she's been told she wasn't enough because she isn't a man
If she was a man she could sleep around and her claim wouldn't be questioned, if she was a man and had bastards her claim wouldn't be questioned
If she was a man the fandom wouldn't hate her so much, and wouldn't consider her a spoilt whore for doing something men do x5
I mean you've seen it, Aegon raped several servants and the fandom still loves him, even saying that Dyana was exaggerating or that it was "normal" back then, Rhaenyra had consensual sex with her knight and they consider it "rape" because of their power imbalance (and only after she rejected the idea of running away with him and abandoning her duties)

I wonder how these cowards sleep at night

They all acted amazing, they are the only thing that makes the show watchable because the script is dog shit
At the end of the day, I hope the actors know none of this is on them when people are upset or don’t like this season. They carried the show and their characters on their own when the writers clearly don’t understand any of them.
They were all perfect in every way.
They're in a throuple (is that how you spell It?)
It feels like I'm cheating 😭

Queen, you ate and left not crumbs
BEST TAKE.

me af:

let's speak about my best take, shall we
short take but speaks about two laws in westeros. firstly we have rape which we all know aegon is guilty of. punishment for that is either death or castration and the wall. people who defend aegon as rightful king refering to westerosi law are not only wrong here but also forget that - prince or not - the law apply to him so for rape he should be punished according to law
now him or rhaenyra as the rightful heir. let's start with the fact that aegon the conqueror had two sons - aenys, firstborn with queen rhaenys and maegor with queen visenya. some say that maegor had bigger claim cause he was the son of first wife and older sister but the issue was settled aside because aegon named aenys as his heir. the issue about succession appeared again the year rhaena the black bride, firstborn child od aenys, was born (after her were 5 children - aegon, viserys, jaehaerys, alysanne and vaella). who's next in the line, rhaena or maegor, daughter or brother? even visenya - who wished to see her son on the throne - understood rhaena's claim which is why she suggested betrohal between rhaena and maegor. it did not happen, aenys officially named his firstborn son aegon as his heir - there was no official heir before
now king maegor the cruel. he had two heirs, neither was his child. he remained childless even though he had six wives (eventually). during the time of his usurpation neither of living targaryens was called his heir but jaehaerys, son of aenys, tho he was not named one officially. maegor later disinherited him in the favor of aerea, daughter of rhaena and aegon, ready to disinherit her as well as soon he'll have a child of his own
after maegor's death we have three potential rulers - rhaena, the eldest child of king aenys, her daughter aerea (eventually her other daughter, rhaella) and jaehaerys, aenys' eldest son. jaehaerys put forth his claim to the throne yet during maegor was alive. now rhaena did not want to participate in ruling of any kind and give up her claim and her daughters' as well (although she regrets that later "you have my throne, content yourself with that" - rhaena to queen consort alysanne)
jaeherys's heirs: 1) aerea who was basically a placeholder until jaehaerys had children on his own, she acknowledged her being robbed of her claimed by her mother and uncle
2) aegon who lived only 3 days and as firstborn child of current king became an heir automatically
3) daenerys, the second child of jaehaerys, as his only living child became an heir automatically "you sound a queen already, laying down the law.” - queen consort alyssanne; daenerys dies in 60 AC
4) aemon, who was named an heir officially by jaehaerys who stated that daenerys and aemon will marry and rule together "jaehaerys loved all three children fiercely, but from the moment aemon was born, the king began to speak of him as his heir, to queen alysanne's displeasure. "daenerys is older," she would remind his grace. "she is first in line; she should be queen.", aemon dies in 92 AC and the next child - a son - is named heir, at the same time the only child of aemon - a daughter - was put aside
5) baelon, who dies in 101 AC, leaving jaehaerys without living children but vaegon (who became archmaester and probably refused the throne) and saera (who refused to put forth her claim during great council)
6) viserys, who was son of baelon and alyssa. now we know from the show that it was choice between viserys or rhaenys (son of the third son and daughter of second son), in the book it was mainly choice between viserys and laenor (son of the third son and grandson of the second son) while rhaenys, laena, aemma, daemon's candidatures were considered and even of three of saera's bastards. lords CHOSE viserys, the law did not state that it must be him as the oldest trueborn son of previous heirs, otherwise there would be no need for great council
male-preference primogeniture is customary, but not binding, it was more of a "tradition" now than the actual law in the matter of iron throne. the andal law does say that sons go before daughters but... it was never said that targaryens go by andals law in that case or many others. eg andals law does not allow the polygamy and yet aegon could marry both of his sisters, six women were considered maegor's wives (even when was that highly criticized) and rhaenyra and daemon (in the show) purposefully got married in valyrian tradition to make their marriage legal
what more, king/queen of 7k was named ruler of andals, rhoynars and first men, not just andals. rhoynars are pro equal primogeniture, granting inheritances to the eldest child regardless of gender. why would people assume the kingdoms of different cultures would favor any of them if it's not stated in law?
"son before daughter, daughter before brother" law has no sense here cause if that was true daemon would never be seen as an heir while rhaenyra was already alive. now the show made mistake naming daemon an heir over and over again, we know - both show and book - daemon was never named viserys' heir. the only heir of viserys by law was rhaenyra, cause she was named the princess of dragonstone
after the great council the lords felt that a male line was preferred over a female line - the law was never stated - and believed that a precedent was set stating that the next ruler could not be a woman, or a male descendants of a woman. the reason is that - at the end of the day - it was king who sat the iron throne, not a queen. many times however it was proven that women not only have right to the throne but often even bigger than their male relatives - rhaena, aerea, rhaenys, laena, rhaenyra - and were named publically and lawfully as heirs
the widow's law stated by queen alysanne now prevented men from disinheriting the children from an earlier marriage in favor of children from a later marriage - so here rhaenyra, as daughter of the first wife, has bigger rights than aegon, who's son of the second wife
rhaenyra was officially named the heir. all lords gave her their oaths. after aegon being born - and also aemond and daeron and jaeherys (and maelor) and five of her own sons and daemon being alive - she is still called the heir by everyone, viserys himself say that publically. what more, many times, in book and the show, people suggested viserys to name aegon the heir but it never happened. why would they do it if aegon became the heir the moment he was born?

even more, everyone, including team green members, continued to speak about crowning aegon as an usurpation. they admitted themselves that rhaenyra is the rightful heir/queen

grrm about the law: "well, the short answer is that the laws of inheritance in the seven kingdoms are modeled on those in real medieval history… which is to say, they were vague, uncodified, subject to varying interpretations, and often contradictory. (...) the medieval world was governed by men, not by laws. you could even make a case that the lords preferred the laws to be vague and contradictory, since that gave them more power"
the law is the words of lords, the law is - most of all - the words of the king. in everyone's eyes rhaenyra targaryen IS the rightful queen. according to the law the heir must be named to be one and that how it was with rhaenyra. she was chosen by the king, people and gods. "you support monarchy" rhaenyra was chosen by most of the lords, so here's your democracy, loser

As the daughter of a strict mom, believe me when I tell you that I learned how to be really sneaky
