Hey Nonny! Since there are 5 Billion characters in the MCU, I went with the original Avengers (from the movies) along with Fury and Maria - because obviously. 

Disclaimer: obviously, these are just my opinions but...you know I’m right. 

Let’s go.

Athena - Nick Fury. Strictly for the line: “I recognise that the Council has made a decision. But given that it’s a stupid-ass decision, I’ve elected to ignore it.” Plus, she is absolutely the brains behind the operation with objectives she doesn’t have to and will never disclose to you. And she will most certainly kick your ass if you come for her or her family.

Bobby - Hulk. Shameful, depressing past. Self-medicating is always a problem. Definitely thrives with his found family rather than alone. Lowkey, has problems with aggression that gets better over time. Only jumps in when there’s a problem. Weird run.

Buck - Thor. Cocky brat who knows little about the world. Feels unworthy of the power he’s been given until he meets people who make him realize that the power was inside him all along. Highly dysfunctional family. Flowing blond hair.

Chimney - Maria Hill. Everyone’s trusty sidekick (including himself). Sexier than first appears. Always comes through when it really matters. Way too quick with the witty lines (does he rehearse them?). Will basically roll with every situation but never saw any of it coming.

Eddie - Captain America. Strong sense of duty and morality but also loves to make reckless decisions. Not the oldest or the wisest but caries a sense of authority that makes them the leader in certain situations. Has definitely punched Hitler (or someone who looked like Hitler). Vague, homoerotic relationship with best friend. Truly carries America’s Ass.

Hen - Iron Man. Technology is her friend. Declares her true self from day one because she’d rather do good as herself than hide behind a mask. Makes some bad choices but loves her adopted children and the woman who keeps taking her back. Is the leader of the group even if she lets others think it’s them. Has absolutely gotten so drunk she ended up on top of a giant doughnut sign.

Maddie - Black Widow. Dark past that definitely involves some intense trauma that was not handled properly. Secret softie that’s not so secret but if you say it out loud, she will punch you. Changes hairstyle once a month, just to keep the men in her life on their toes. Does what she thinks is right even if it’s not strictly legal.

Michael - Hawkeye. The heart of the team even if people sometimes forget about him. Every choice is about protecting his family. Knows more about others than they know about him. Loves looking through telescopes.

In my head, this is during the Avengers Facility day(s) when they all lived together and fought minor crime and lived like a dysfunctional family. 

Thor and Captain America throwing soap at each other instead of doing dishes. Black Widow and Hawkeye comparing battle scar over a game of Scrabble. Maria pretending not to have a crush on Black Widow. Iron Man giving Hulk advice for once (it is his turn). Nick Fury just...drinking heavily.

She didn’t need anyone, she didn’t want to listen to anyone else after hearing herself at the loss of her song as the ashes rained down on the water where the sea lions were. There was something in her throat that alcohol couldn’t undo, and she believed she could disappear in that bar, from the Hospital, from her life as a surgical resident, from her unhappy life as the daughter of a mother that ruined her emotional stability until her last second. Literally.

But oh, the great Morgan Reznick had to come rejoice and meet her by chance at that bar. Yeah, Claire was being quite bitter about her after she had been so supportive and helped her with the ashes of her mother by taking her to a transvestite party. Simply beautiful. It was also the only way, and if it hadn’t been for Morgan, she would still be with her mind locked in those stored ashes, haunting her every night and morning.

Although her duel was not over, and she didn’t even want to think about it.

…think. She was a dead girl walking.

She wasn’t Claire the empath; Claire the understanding; Claire, the nice one; Claire, the resentful one; Claire, the traumatized; Claire this, Claire that …

She didn’t want to be anyone that night. Her mind was going to be empty and her body full of alcohol and impulses that she would allow herself to have.

That is why she found herself silencing Morgan’s attempts at psychological reading in her apartment, while aggressively occupying her mouth and her tongue thrusting inside her in a dangerous exploration that had no turning back. She had pushed her against the door as soon as they closed it and their clothes stopped being a nuisance, only their underwear remained.
