What If I Told You There Exists A Shape With Infinite Surface Area But A Finite Volume...
what if i told you there exists a shape with infinite surface area but a finite volume...
wacky right??
the shape is called Gabriel's horn and is formed by taking the graph of 1/x for the domain x≥1 and rotating it in 3 dimensions around the x axis to get a shape like (surprise surprise) Gabriel's horn!!
as a result you get a shape which if you filled with paint, would never be able to fully paint the outside with.
don’t believe me? i wouldn’t either so here’s the link to the wikipedia

god is left handed and i can prove it
well i can't really but i think this is a pretty cool physics fact
the universe is fundamentally left handed!! some weak nuclear force interactions between particles only occur for the ‘left handed’ versions.
i’m no physicist so here’s some articles about it !!

did you know that every piano is slightly out of tune?
modern pianos are tuned according to equal temperament- the octave is divided equally into 12 semitones. this allows for notes to sound roughly 'in tune' regardless of the key, however the ratios between note frequencies are not harmonic meaning that technically they are out of tune.

about four years ago my music teacher handed me the following piece of music and asked me to sight read it:

this is an excerpt of john cage’s ‘aria’. would you believe that these squiggles on a page actually mean something.
