Lincoln Park Zoo Hand-raises a Wee Klipspringer

A Klipspringer —a tiny antelope native to Central and Eastern Africa—was born in early August at Lincoln Park Zoo in Illinois. The baby’s mother didn’t display proper maternal care, but the little one is receiving excellent behind-the-scenes care from zookeepers. Even at full size, the dwarf antelope will only measure 20 inches (51 cm) in height and weigh about 24 pounds (11 kg).

my own bed

After two days of sleeping over at my sister's dorm in the city for the sake of early morning work in the laboratory, I am sorely missing my bed. I'm also sorely missing a good night's sleep. I can't wait to get home tonight and sleep in my own bed.

And wake up and trek back to Manhattan to start another round of experiments. It's going to be awesome.
