I'm working on it, I swear!
Writers, how are your WIPs going so far? Currently editing The Tengu and The Angel, my romance novel. Here's a brief snippet I'm super proud of:
He continues before I have time to even react. “I used to be the exact same way. To be honest, I still am a little,” he says, “When you’re bullied, and hated all the time, bullying and hatred becomes normal, if that makes any sense. I mean, yeah, it fucking hurts, but you get used to it. You learn to live with it.”
I look up at him, suddenly captivated by his words. It’s like he’s reading my heart. “Yeah. You do.”
He glances down at his left hand, which I’m only just noticing has a line of dot-shaped scars on the back. “And when someone’s nice to you, you don’t know how to deal with it, because you’ve never had to. When everyone else makes it their mission to convince you that you’re worthless, or stupid, or ugly, you start to believe it. So when someone tells you that you aren’t worthless or stupid, or ugly, you don’t believe them,” he sighs, “You think that they’re lying, or that they’re wrong, because they’ve gone against everything that you believe.”
I lean in closer, needing to know more. “So, what do you do?”
“In my experience, you can do one of two things. You can push away kind people, and keep living with the bullying, and hatred, or you can learn to accept kindness, which is way easier said than done,” he sighs, “If you tell people who are kind to you that they’re lying, or that they’re wrong, they won’t try to be kind to you again, and you’ll push them away, and be stuck with the people who hate you.”

-I have a questionable search history that's probably got me on at least five watch lists
-Bags under my eyes are a permanent fixture because I keep staying up all night to work on things
-Staring blankly at an empty page on a screen is how I spend most of my free time
-Google thinks I'm pregnant and won't stop showing me ads for maternity clothes because I keep googling cool names
Me suddenly being hit with a rush of ideas for the book I'm currently writing:
Me sifting through the ideas to find out which ones I can actually use without derailing the MC's character arc/digging gaping plot holes:
90% of my novel ideas start with me coming up with really cool scenes in my head, and then me coming up with a plot just so that I can write the scenes
Or the endless hoping from one incomplete story to the next
Today on unsolved mysteries: Who is this plot fellow and why have they killed thousands?
The writer's block be so bad I've literally pulled out pens and am trying to draw make shift blue prints.
As a would be writer I seem to do anything but write.
Brief week or two of non-stop writing, then nothing. So many unfinished projects, same might happen to the current one.
The urges to temporarily pause my current project or focus on two(three) things at once is real

Me (knowing I should just write and not edit now):

Wow, that would be amazing to write
*Stares at screen*
Three children above the sun strike down in their fun
Three champions born of craft and carve war upon the land graphed in large
One of one seeks defiance, power, and nothing
Two of two seek non-compliance, the growing flower, and something
And when at last when they all clash their war shall not be over till the world is caked with ash
Yet even then they’ll rise again in holy guided defense
A brutal resurrection from the buried grave will ensure the lands protection
So many will die following champions sent from high

Every know and then I revisit ideals I failed to write, and every time I make it a little further and a little better then last time. One of these days I'll figure it out, and if I'm able to do something you can do it also(trust me, I suck at everything).
