I'm going through the tag for Kaos and keep seeing people complaining about it being inaccurate and?? Inaccurate? To the Greek Mythology?? The stories that were passed down orally and had so many different versions at the time when they were being told, not to mention now? That Greek Mythology?

Kaos is a fun show that takes the mythological figures we've seen a million times and makes them something new and fresh and I, for one, am totally here for it. I go buck fucking wild for stories where humans rebel against the gods and I will be speaking a season 2 into existence every day.

Please sit back and enjoy the wild ride, because there has never been, and there never will be, an accurate 'adaptation' of Greek Mythology because the myths themselves aren't accurate to their earlier versions.

tbf i haven't watched this yet so i don't know how i'd feel about it after but i'm inclined to agree also. reminder that the greek gods are basically the only ones you can make a show/etc about without it having big implications for a modern day religion/culture not that i'm opposed to making shows about any of those but it's differently loaded like. feel free to complain about the interpretations if you don't like them! and feel like the original implications are more interesting but i'm not against using greek gods/myths/etc as more of a blank canvas for whatever story about gods you want to tell
