Style studies!! I think I'm getting the hand of it---

I'm drawing a lit these days JSJJS I'll be answering 1-2 asks per day, thanks to the people asking the questions, ya'll helping me improve a lot (as well as making my dream of having my own "ask the guards" come true, i had it since i was like 10 😭)

I had like a really bad day today, here's a mewing Vincent for y'all (there's no ask the guards today, sorry, like, really shitty day, maybe tomorrow tho.)

Edit: i had to upscale it with the ibis paint because it was too blurry for my taste (i also edited other stuff of the drawing), i don't want to use a bigger canvas bc i don't like how the brushes look 💔

I blocked a anon because they were being really intense and made me feel really uncomfy. i made this answer to that question without knowing the same anon made that exact question i was answering and i didn't notice until now that i was searching for the ask to answer it properly, i didn't want the ask to go to waste so here you have my answer to that question for ya'll to enjoy (i couldn't even find a screenshot of the ask to make things easier but anyways. i spend all my night drawing this for someone i just blocked today lol.) if i dont answer your question or ask the guards please, dont keep pushing the questions.

I tried copying a little bit Rebornica's more human like style :p it wasn't my intention to make it 100% accurate but i thought it'll be cool to try it. At first i wanted to use my normal more realistic style but then i said nah and went with a reb style instead ajjsndnd

(yes, Scott isn't a racial caricature here, WTF Rebornica???)

Drawing Mike and Vincent is so much fun- idk, I'll have to practice Phone guy too someday bc purplephone but rn im just having fun drawing those two

Purple Guy practice. I think im getting a bit more comfortable drawing in this style, let's see how my art looks in a month or more :p (the phone one was obviously a copy-style study, side-by-side, trying to understand the proportions, habits of the artist when drawing etc)

I been playing with different settings of my "rebornica" brush -- i think i got something pretty accurate now and that's also comfortable to use-

Doodles and sketches (Scott's hand is badly drawn on porpoise- the man's dilemma of embracing Reb's anatomy errors or fixing them)

I'm still wondering what the perfect warm up is for this style, i mostly do spirals, boxes and other random figures before starting a drawing and it's quick but it seems like it takes me like 5 or 10 minutes to warm up for now in this style, the time got shorter tho, i think before it was worst but now it's better. It really makes me wonder with amazement how animators can replicate styles so well. I started making notes for myself today to keep in mind the 'do and dont' of the style, because rebornica isn't an animator with a big ahh animated series we can't get a simple book with what to do and what you shouldn't when drawing the style. I MAYYYYY post the Do and Don't guide when i get comfortable with the style but i maybe just gonna gatekeep it muahahhah- ejem...

I been studying this style in a serious manner for like a month or 4 weeks?? Something like that sjjs, with references and stuff like that. I like sharing this journey with y'all, it's pretty cool coming back to my childhood this way. I'll be answering some asks before october since i gotta make a halloween special + a little surprise i been thinking about lately ;3 i hope i can get over my fear of failing, of making new art about the guards in this style because i feel like im not good enough yet but i know I'll be able to overcome this fear soon.
