since Dave is an ultra turbo capitalist in the epilogues i’m choosing to believe this means Dirk is a communist. mainly because it’s hilarious. he grew up in drowned houston he doesn’t even know how money works he just read the wikipedia page for economic ideologies and picked the option he thought would piss Dave off the most. every time they talk econ Dirk just starts spewing the most dense, long-winded, intentionally confusing jargon-filled bullshit that literally means nothing and Dave gets so fucking mad and tries to genuinely debate him every single time. it’s been like 3 years and he still hasn’t caught on to what Dirk’s doing. Dirk’s never gonna tell him.
