Here’s me, I’m a forest troll

Not goat related but I feel like I’d be the type of folklore troll who just chills in the forest and pulls tricks on travelers

The monkey look, especially the colours on the face was just to make DJ look at bit more distinct and not like the Grinch’s stoner cousin

And here’s @blackdiamondwrites127​ as a tikbalang 

Another creature from Philippine’s mythology, a lanky horse thing with very long legs, which also pulls pranks on travelers

Not gonna lie, I had a difficult time with his character design that I did around four iterations of him! And I hardly draw horses! To be honest, I was inspired by Pokemon, My Little Pony Animal Crossing and the Dumagat/Remontados tribe for his design.

A princely Binangenang (Fire Tikbalang) who is also a forest guardian alongside Matyag. It's a miracle how he hasn't burned down his forest home.

✨️ Lingling: The Fragrance of Nature 🌿

Dumagat Negritos in the northeast coast of Luzon describe the Balendik as a tree-dwelling white spirit with thin legs and a horse’s head. Negritos who have a successful hunt in the forest chop off a part of their kill and throw it up a tree as offering to the creature saying: “This is for thee.” The Balendik is possibly related to the tikbalang.

Lingling’s tree is also home to the Waling-waling flowers, which are her namesake.
