I have a headcanon where Mimikyu underneath his Pikachu Cloth is a cute Shadow creature and is shy and adorable but only uses his Evil or Really Scary Monster form because they don't want to be looked at by some people.

They only shows Their cute shadow form to those they trust the most.

Mimikyu are amazing. They just have boundaries. And they reason they hide is specifically because they don't wanna hurt people.
