"WE WERE SUPPOSED END IT TOGETHER"

Thunder claps around them; rain falling heaver than earlier.

"Why? Why did you do it? This wasn't the plan"

Stede looked at Edward with sorrowful eyes, pleading for an answer. His sword deep in the others stomach, blood blending with the rain as it fell onto the ground.

"I'm Sorry. I just wanted a happy ending" Edward said with his voice shaking.

Stede let out a sob, "You didn't need to go this far! We could have a peaceful life without war, without the bloodshed of our friends..."

Edward let out a sigh, "I wanted you to have a peaceful life without the decree".

Everything fell silent between the two. Stede pulled Edward in to an embrace, ignoring his own sword in his lovers stomach.

Edward gasped, "I hope one day, maybe if God has pity on me". There was a smile on his face, looked at Stede one last time "We will be able to live together, peacefully".

Edward's breathing stopped.

Within the woods a scream so painful could be heard with the claps of thunder and the falling rain.
