so he is none other than the basketball team’s captain

you are part of the photography club and you often take pictures of the players during the matches

and he’s noticed you since day one, but somehow he never found the courage to approach you

which is a bit unusual because he usually has no problem doing so

but he feels like there’s something different when it comes to you, he suddenly feels shyer and fears you might reject him

so he just starts secretly pining over you, he doesn’t tell anyone about his not so little crush on you and nobody seems to notice it either

until one afternoon you unexpectedly go to one of their practices and he’s very confused because you’ve never watched them before and you’re not with the photography team

then his questions are answered when he sees jake sim approaching you and giving you a hug

heeseung literally stops dead in his tracks and just stares at the two of you

from that day on, you start to attend almost every single practice and heeseung is now more than convinced that you and jake are a thing

he’s so close to giving up on his crush on you, when you suddenly approach him one day

he almost stumbles on his own feet for the surprise and his ears become crimson

you sweetly smile at him and ask him if he can let your COUSIN know that he doesn’t need to bring you home that day

and he’s like, “sure, but who’s your cousin?”

the moment you pronounce jake’s name, heeseung’s face immediately lights up and he’s cheering inside

so then you thank him and leave, but heeseung doesn’t take his eyes off your figure and just dreamily stares at you in the distance with literal heart eyes

your cousin, aka jake sim, catches him red-handed and gives him a strong pat on the shoulder to scare him

“so, why are you looking at my cousin like a puppy in love?”

heeseung takes it a bit too personally and tries to justify himself, but he ends up stumbling over his own words and that only causes jake to burst out laughing to the point where he literally has tears running down his cheeks

heeseung gets sulky because he thinks he’s making fun of him, but the reason is that jake knows you have a massive crush on heeseung and that’s why you started to ask him if you could attend their practices as well

every time after a match, he has to endure your endless phone calls in which you fangirl over his captain

and by heeseung reaction, he quickly realizes that he probably has a crush on you too

“soo, do you like her?”

heeseung is once again completely caught off guard by jake’s straightforwardness and starts chocking on air

“don’t worry, she has the biggest crush on you too. here, let me give you her number.”

heeseung thinks he’s probably dreaming, he can’t believe it would be that easy

he then spends the whole evening contemplating whether to text you or not, your chat already open

somehow he finally gathers the courage to do it and he sends a simple “hi! i’m heeseung. jake gave me your number, hope you don’t mind!”

the way you fell off the bed and let out the loudest shriek of your life made your mom run to your room to ask you if you were okay

you immediately texted jake asking what the hell was happening and when he told you, you felt a mix of embarrassment and excitement

i mean, your crush just texted you, but he knew you were crushing on him, but you also knew he was crushing on you as well

so, what the hell were you waiting for?

jay, of course, plays guitar and is crazy good at it and of course he’s going to participate in the school’s talent show

and you are among the students who are organizing the whole event

and you’re dreading the moment you’ll have to see jay. like, you’re already doing a project with him, you don’t need to see him even more

because you despise him

so, the first time you two met was during the previous year’s talent show

during rehearsals you bumped into him by mistake and were quick to apologize

but jongseong didn’t even spare you a glance and murmured a “watch where you’re going” under his breath

since then you started to despise him, maybe it was petty to do so, but jay also started avoiding you like the plague every time you would coincidentally see each other in the hallways

so of course you assumed he disliked you too for some weird reason

wrong!!

he actually kinda likes you, since the first time he saw you at the talent show the previous year, like literal love at first sight

the problem is that when you bumped into him, he was already having a really bad day and was also super nervous for his performance

he actually didn’t even notice it was you until he finally raised his head and caught a glimpse of your figure walking away from him

he literally turned pale

he texted his friends in the group chat and was like, “my life is over, please end me”, “i ruined all my chances”, “i can’t believe i just snapped like that at my future wife”

so he was so embarrassed that he decided that the only option was to start avoiding you

but his crush on you never went away!

however, a week ago you were paired together for a project for the only class you have in common: history

so you’ve been meeting in the library for the past few days and every single encounter was more than awkward

but despite the bad first encounter you two had in the past, you can’t help but notice jay’s natural charm and politeness, a huge contrast to the jay you remember

and you two weirdly kind of start getting along

a few days before the actual show, there’s the rehearsals in your school’s theater, so all the students who signed up are going to rehearse there

and when it’s jay’s turn, everyone suddenly stops whatever they’re doing and just starts admiring him and his performance

because bro is THAT good

and you are like, “damn, i didn’t know park was that good”

anyways, fast forward to the day of the actual talent show and to jay’s performance

he’s super nervous, he’s not ironically about to pee his pants and you strangely find him adorable

and you decide to approach him and wish him good luck, which really surprises and overjoys him

when it’s his turn, before actually starting playing, he shortly speaks into the mic, “before starting, i’m dedicating this performance to a person who actually deserves an apology from me. i’m a year late, but i’m very sorry”

and you’re like, “what is this dude rambling about? and why is he staring right at me?”

and then you connect the dots and you remember what happened a year ago

but is he really talking about you?

you’re awestruck by his skills either way and when he’s done, the first thing he does is literally run up to you and just stare at you

and it’s a bit weird, but also you feel like there’s something deeper behind it

and then he breaks the silence and says, “i’m sorry about last year. i know you dislike me because of it, but i really don’t. can i buy you dinner after the talent show?”

you just stare at him with wide eyes for like a solid minute and then you can’t help but break out into a wide grin

and you’re like, “i’m actually starting to like you a little bit, but i’m never turning down free food”

and by now you feel bold, BOLD so you add, “by the way, you were great out there” and KISS him on the cheek

bro turned the deepest shade of red ever and just stared at you in awe while you walked away

that night he won the talent show AND a date with you, he sure felt like it was christmas day

jake is a genius when it comes to sciences, literally, he’s at the top of all those classes

and he’s super popular because even if he’s on the football team, he’s the total opposite of a jock

like, he’s the literal definition of golden retriever energy

but you, on the other hand, are known for having more of the ‘black cat’ type of energy

many people find you intimidating and don’t dare approach you

and honestly, that always makes you laugh because you’re literally just minding your business, you don’t even know why people are so afraid of you

like, you’re literally just an introvert who likes to spend most of her time alone or with her small circle of friends

but one big problem that you have is physics: you’re almost failing the subject and here’s when jake sim comes into action

your physics teacher tells you you need to take tutoring lessons and he suggests you ask for help from jake sim, since he’s in the advanced class because he’s literally a genius

so now your mission is to find him and ask him to tutor you, which is something that you can’t believe you have to do

so you decide to go watch his football practice and you have to admit that he’s very skilled

and also very handsome

after practice, you wait for him near the changing rooms and when he sees you he furrows his eyebrows because he’s never seen you there

he also notices you’re fidgeting with your fingers and look kinda nervous and extremely cute for some reason

you don’t notice him at first, but when you hear him call your name, you look up at him with wide eyes

first of all, did he just call you by name? does he know you?

so, you obviously don’t know this, but jake knows perfectly who you are

he’s noticed you before because he finds you extremely interesting and mysterious

but he wouldn’t say that he has a crush on you yet

until you explain your situation and sheepishly ask him if he can be your tutor and his heart skips a beat

he suddenly feels overjoyed, which is weird because he doesn’t have a crush on you, right?

well, since the first lesson, you two immediately click and get closer and closer

he realizes that the rumors that circulate about you are dumb and completely false, you’re actually very funny and sweet, but only with the people you’re close and comfortable with

which makes him feel special and warm and giggly

he’s definitely head over heels for you now, by the way

and you are in the same exact situation

you already knew he was a sweet person, but you didn’t expect him to be literally perfect

also, thanks to him, you actually manage to pass physics with a solid B and you want to repay him

so you plan to ask him out because at this point you can’t wait anymore and just want him to repay him

but little do you know that he’s planning the same, because now your tutoring sessions are over and he wants to keep seeing you

so one morning he approaches you at your locker all smiley and confident and asks you if you’re going to his match on saturday

and of course you say yes

so then he very smoothly asks, “if we win, i’m taking you out to dinner right after”

you’re so surprised but also so happy that your feelings are requited and so you suddenly feel super bold and you reply, “okay, but if you lose, i’m the one to take you out” which really surprises him

but hey! that means he’s going on a date with you either way!

sunghoon is very popular in school because of his crazy looks, but especially because of his personality

he looks very, very, very intimidating and ‘cold’, he’s not very social and seems to despise everyone except his small group of friends

he’s actually not a bad person, he’s just extremely introverted

but then you come into the picture and everything changes: you get partnered up with him for an english project, but unfortunately english is not his strongest skill

he’s actually pretty insecure about it because other classmates often tease him a little too much

so he kind of expects you to do the same, but he’s left speechless when you first meet up in the library to start the project

he’s like dead silent at first and you lowkey think he already hates you, so you try to be nice and suggest as many ideas as you can

and he’s like blown away because you’re putting so much effort into this and trying to involve him

but he’s looking at you with a poker face, so you get nervous and stumble on your words and it’s in that moment that he realizes he’s probably giving you a bad impression

so he clears his throat and finds himself admitting that he has no idea what you’re talking about because he has a mere D in the subject

and you’re like, “oh my god, i’m so sorry! i started rambling because i thought you didn’t like me and wanted to finish this as soon as possibile”

he becomes a bit sulky because he thinks, ‘do people really perceive me like this?’

and it seems like you read his mind because you almost immediately add, “i’m sorry, i didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. it’s not like i believe every single rumor i hear, it’s just that you really were intimidating while you were looking at me. anyone would have thought you didn’t like them.”

and just the fact you felt the need to clarify it spoke volumes. that’s when sunghoon’s little crush started

since then, you meet up multiple days during the week for the following month and successfully complete the project

throughout the whole process, you were so patient with him, calmly explaining everything he needed help with. at the end, you got a B, the first B of his life in the subject

by the end of the month, he was down BAD: every time he saw you, he would immediately wave and smile brightly at you

his friends would constantly tease him and people around school started spreading rumors about the two of you possibly dating

one day you approach him in english class, joking about those rumors

“so, how are you, boyfriend?”

poor boy, he did not expect it

his ears turn crimson and he chokes on air, making you lovingly giggle

of course you had developed the fattest crush on him as well, how couldn’t you? getting to know him made you reconsider everything you’ve ever heard about him

you could now confidently say that he was actually the most adorably awkward and considerate and crazy handsome boy you’ve ever met

but back to the teasing, when he composes himself, he somehow finds the confidence to reply, “i would feel so much better if i could take you out on a date, girlfriend”

at this point, you are both a blushing mess, with big smiles on your faces

“i’d love to go on a date with you, hoon. now let’s sit down, people are whispering again.” you drag him towards your usual desk and pull him down to the seat next to yours as soon as you see people looking curiously at the both of you while whispering among themselves

he now feels invincible after successfully scoring a date with you and couldn’t care less about gossip, so he moves your chair closer to his so that your arms and legs can touch and stays like that for the whole lesson

needless to say, english became sunghoon’s favorite class
