one of the things i’m most excited for in heartstopper season 2 (because we are getting it) is charlie getting super flustered when he finds out nick can speak fluent french.

Can’t believe it took this long to get any lesbians, was hella worried I’d get a character for the fourth day in a row lmao

im praying that we get a third season of heartstopper because its such a real show... it shows the queer teen AND adult experience in so many ways... we have charlie obviously who knew for a while he was gay and got outed something a lot of people suffer through... nick who goes through a big gay crisis and slowly finds out hes bi and becomes comfortable with his sexuality... theres depictions of homophobia and the problems of homophobic parents/families.... we also have elle and her journey as a trans woman and how she comes to terms with herself.... tara and darcy have, though a little more in the background, a journey of coming out, leaving abusive households, and showing the world their love.... and we have isaac<3 im not ace or aro or aroace but judging by my friend's reactions, his depiction in the series was accurate and his journey is so special, i love so so much... and before i forget mr farouk who didnt realise his sexuality much later in life and mr ajayi who knew for a long time and how he helped mr farouk and their journey... and of course tao (my love<3) and imogen and so many other people... it shows allies and homophobes turned allies, it adresses mental health, teenage friendships and the rollercoaster that is highschool, and so many other real life problems like oh my god this show is everything to me and i NEED a season three

All I’ve been listening to lately are playlists inspired by either Osemanverse ships, books, or characters, and I can confidently say:

In today’s essay I will be—

Why are the closed captions of the Heartstopper show in American English, when the setting of Heartstopper is British...and.... all of the actors are British???

I understand Netflix is an American company, and that means they'll do captioning in the local dialect buttttt but wouldn't it make more sense to have the British show, with British actors, and a British setting...to have it's closed captions in...the language the original was written in?

and just like a folk song, our love will be passed on ❤️‍🩹
