my professor pissed me off so much (RAHHHH)

I wanted to do my six page persuasive research essay on signs of the biblical end times and he completely told me NO. He has said that it wasn't academic and there was no proof. I understand if he wasn't religions and didn't believe it himself but to outright say no and there was no proof is so lame and rude like....isn’t the whole point of a persuasive research essay is to look for evidence to prove our point????
