Ok but am I the only one thinking about how the concept of "Nature vs Nurture" could actually apply to the core differences between Sophia and EMMA? Sophia representing "Nurture" and EMMA representing "Nature."
I mean think about it: Sophia learns about what the human heart really is because of outside influences/her environment and her experience with the group, developing her emotions and going outside her programming. EMMA on the other hand strictly adheres to her objective and programming to the point of basically going rogue after Ichinose wants to stop her plans but not truly understanding how hearts and desires actually work. Basically, trying to become a god herself albeit a cold and stagnant one with little to no understanding of human emotions and free will.
Sophia learns, EMMA more or less doesn't and that was her biggest flaw as an AI. She can help with everyday activities but takes away the ability to learn and be more independent/grow (notice the Monarchs being trapped in their respective traumas until the PTs intervened and it was confirmed that EMMA primarily creates the Jails for example).
Sophia does the opposite and while she also helps others, she doesn't try to control them and tries to understand them as well... Her creator included despite all that she had done. Hence her having the "Hope" Arcana. She provides such but not to the point of wanting godhood. She just simply wants to learn and understand humanity.
But yeah, that's just my own thought process here. EMMA would definitely be pitied on my end because she was created in a colder environment and Ichinose's poor decisions and negative traits, but she also needed to be stopped too sadly. She already caused a lot of harm and heartache (one of which was a child) as a result of said environment while Sophia just wanted to help. All because of Ichinose being childish for a moment and abandoning the latter (she owns up to it though, especially once she sees the damage EMMA ended up causing). The contrast is interesting to say the least.
