What if he was this suave smooth guy during their first meeting and then they get to know each other and Gellert is kind of a dork, constantly spitting weird facts about weird and obscure stuff no one has ever heard about and Albus is all for it, like cmon, SPIT THOSE FACTS! And then Gellert discovers Al has a crush on him and tries to use that against him because he’s still a manipulative bastard in canon (kinda). So he tries to flirt with Al and holy shit it actually works! OR DOES IT?! Every time he tries to flirt with Al or bend him to his will he goes through a very long process of stuttering, tryna look and sound cool to impress Albus and yeah, it works… to an extent. So when one of them musters up the courage to finally ask the other out, they start to date! Duh. And over the weeks, Albus gets a lot more confident talking to Gellert and then Gellert, being NOT prepared for his bf to talk dirty to him in front of the whole damn street, gets reduced to a full on stuttering, blushing mess tryna keep his shit together when I’m reality, cmon, you know he doesn’t have any of his shit together, stop lying, G. Shut the fuck up.

I have never actually shared something I have published on Tumblr (I am a professor and political theorist/commentator by trade) but it occurred to me this piece is something other Dumbledore blogs may enjoy. It's from the May 2022 issue of the Rowling Review.

Mads Mikkelsen should have been cast as Grindelwald from the start.
This has nothing to do with the accusations against Johnny Depp, I simply never liked the idea of some spiky-haired Jack Frost being one of the most powerful dark wizzards of all time.
Some people are born to play supervillains, and Mads Mikkelsen is one of them.

My favorite scenes in this movie were Dumbledore admitted that he loved Grindelwald ( I mean we all knew it to begin with but he openly admit. )
