Post disbarment era Phoenix wants a tattoo of Edgeworth's initials because he's going through his mandatory Dumb Bitch Phase so he starts drawing the design to give the tattoo artist but then realizes that Edgeworth's initials are "ME". Not exactly something he wants tattooed on his arm with a heart around it lmao

So he decides to go with an "M" for "Miles" and only after he's gotten it does he realize how vague it is.

Pearl gasps and points to the tattoo, claiming it's a tribute to his "love for Mystic Maya!" and Maya rolls her eyes at this, pointing out that lots of people have names starting with an "M" (yet somehow still not getting it). Then she wonders out loud if it's supposed to be labeling him as an honorary mystic, which "would be fine", while Phoenix is still in the room.

Trucy takes one look, laughs, and says, "is that supposed to be a 'W' for Wright? They did it upside down!"

Apollo and Athena literally have a full on debate about what it means right in front of his face. Apollo also thinks it's a botched "W", but Athena argues that it's a really fucked up "N" because "that's totally plausible" (?) and does not elaborate on what the "N" would mean (???).

Edgeworth himself even asks if it's supposed to be some sort of dedication to Mia, prompting Phoenix to put his head in his hands and suppress a scream because apparently he is somehow the only one who remembers Edgeworth's first name, including??? Edgeworth????

They're all wrong and the only person who gets it is Franziska, who takes one look at Phoenix's arm and slams her head into the nearest wall, as von Karmas are known to do.
