relaxed, always at ease at night, the vampire made his way through the crowded bar with an almost reckless amount of confidence. he felt the most at home in places like this; late into the night, surrounded by people drinking away their reservations and, instead, embracing bad decisions like letting a complete stranger drink from them-- and elgin was thirsty but, for now, he was more than content to settle for a drink at the bar.

the bar, however, didn't seem content in serving him. standing amongst the other's gathered, watching them all get their drinks while he was constantly looked over, the vampire begin to get a bit annoyed; a bit desperate. he actually missed being back home, in the city, where people would throw themselves at his feet simply because they feared his family. he came here to get away from that, to get away from his family; he wanted anonimity for so long he didn't consider the downsides to it. be careful what you wish for.

"i recognize that i'm a new face around here and people are wary," he grumbled and turned to face the stranger beside him. "but this is ridiculous. what do i have to do to get a pour of bourbon, neat, around here? suck somebody off?" because he would, he's done worse for good bourbon.
