Neon Noir Tour - Tumblr Posts

A little something I shared on instagram almost two weeks ago that I figured I should finally share here, albeit slightly modified since tumblr allows us to post more pics. I was very fortunate to have been able to see Ville perform on the Neon Noir Tour 5 different times, so here are some moments from all of those concerts, plus a little ode to the end of the tour. šŸ’•

So it’s now been a little over a week since the end of the Neon Noir tour, and while this may be a topic I’ve beaten to death on my socials, it wouldn’t feel like a proper goodbye without one last post. HIM and Ville have been a part of my life since I was 12 (a few weeks shy of 13) and even while there was a period of years in my twenties where I was less involved with all things relating to that universe, the mark Ville’s music leaves on you is like a first love; indelible, and in many cases, you have no choice but to returnā€œhome.ā€ ⁣ ⁣ The pandemic was a turning point in me delving back into that world, and shortly thereafter Ville came out of hiding to announce a new project and world tour. It felt like fate. And more so due to the fact that at a certain point in the tour, I was grappling with some things after being deeply disappointed by someone I thought cared about me. Being able to meet so many people through the fandom and the tour, people I laughed with, vented to, weathered sub-zero temperatures with, who gave me rides home, really gave me some perspective at a time where I was questioning a lot of things about myself. And the times I traveled to see Ville also gave me the opportunity to see places I’d dreamed of for years and subsequently meet even more special people outside of the HIMverse. ⁣I really truly love you all, even if I couldn’t include everyone here, and you have no idea how much you’ve done for me. ⁣ And that’s what it really comes down to, and part of why I continue to have this strong emotional attachment to Ville and his music, especially in the ā€œsecond actā€ of my time as a fan. Maybe it didn’t need to be him, but in this case it was, to impart that lesson to me: there will always be friends, old and new, places and things to discover, and most of all: there will always be music. So until we meet again, Ville. Don’t be too long. ⁣ ⁣ Forever Villin’ Time šŸ–¤
