Hey peeps who voted in that poll, please do send in asks (anon or not) explaining why you voted what you did, we're in dire need of more headcanons in the fandom 👀 I personally thought he would have, even if infrequently, even if he wouldn't really have been in the headspace to truly enjoy it, he would've gone anyways. But let us hear you guys' thoughts! I want to know!

As I said I'll definitely discuss this more after the poll concludes, but to be brief I feel like our views probably align, at least for the purposes of what I'm working on (in that I see it as an infrequent thing, and more because he thinks he should than because he truly enjoys it; it's just a case of meeting his needs when necessary and I don't think he has any real idea of what being with a partner who cares about you and who you care for is like at least, not yet).

Oh that's an interesting one, I must admit the Sindhura arc and the dynamics of the royals never truly grabbed my interest but I'm curious about how you'll bring them into play here.

Can't believe I forgot to say this yesterday buuut your theory of Arslan borrowing Narsus's clothes reminded me that I have a headcanon that Sam had to borrow some clothing from Hilmes. I'm sure whatever residence he had in Ecbatana was looted and reassigned to some Lusitanian noble, and we know he stayed with Hilmes while he was recovering (and maybe even afterwards too, since perhaps Team Hilmes all stay there together when they're in the capital?).

Yeah okay maybe they just sent Husrab out to buy him some new clothing or something but this headcanon is more fun. One day I'll incorporate it into a fic.

Y'know what? Headcanon fucking accepted. It's likely they could've sent Husrab out for new clothes eventually but now I can't unsee the idea that for a good long while at first Saam was wearing Hilmes' clothes! And I always just assumed Team Hilmes stayed together while in the capital so eyy!! Same hat!!

And I love that you brought up how Saam's residence was likely looted and given to someone else bc I can see that happening w a lot of ppl's places, and I have certainly contemplated it happening w Shapur's residence too unfortunately. Headcanon: Being Daryun's S/O

• I believe Daryun is a man of few words, espacially outside. But,but when you guys are inside he will tell you sweet things

•Talking about the crown prince, I think Daryun needs you to have a great bond with Arslan.Without that I don't think the relationship will last long...

• Loves to go one horse rides with you, whether that means riding next to each other or you sitting behing/infront of him.

• Childeren? Hmmmm, I think Daryun would think he won't be a good father.Worries about leaving you and the child alone because he is a knight, a marzban at that. Worries he would die and won't see his child grow up.

•You probably reassure him that that won't happen, restoring the faith of the black knight. You also made him fantasize him and his child having sword practice so the guy is now looking for good wood to make pratice swords and dummies out of scratch.

•About your relationship with Arslan, how can you not love the white head?He so cute and thinks the best for everyone so it was easy to love him.

And that pups upon birth(???) are either unnamed or are named things like wriggle/yawn/yip, very a la Surviviours by Erin Hunter because mortality rate for slug pups is through the damn roof (but I’d imagine they’d want to put a name to a dead loved one)

Titles like Devourer/Monk/Saint are like a ‘rite of passage’ to adulthood and is more than just a way to differentiate slugcats. It’s your survival style. It’s what you are, how you are, and it’s how life appears to you. It's your passion, your perception, and a self-fulfilling prophecy all in one <3

I headcanon that slugcats aren’t m/f but are hermaphroditic (like real slugs!) and it’s just a matter of presentation they prefer. Intersex slonks my beloved
