Fic idea: a young Abram and his mother end up injured in a gunfight. Abram unable to carry his weight from the wound in his leg, is dragged down alleyways by his mother. Until they collapse in a heap of limbs and blood. He finds out his mother is a lot more hurt than he had originally thought.

A young nurse goes out to check on the noise she heard. She rushed over when she sees the blood and bodies.

Abigail Winfields finds herself looking down the barrel of Mary Hatford’s gun.

Mary knew she was bleeding out and she knew her husband’s men would find them soon. She needed to lead them away from Abram. She had to make a decision quick.

A small bleeding boy was thrust into Abby’s arms, his mother leaned in close and hissed that no doctors or police officers should be trusted with the boy. They would get him killed. The woman with the gun then pressed a duffel bag strap firmly into the boy’s hands and kissed his forehead before she ran in the opposite direction.
