He has indeed, though it didn’t necessarily start off that way. Roman actually used to be against the idea of having one night stands but when both of his long-term relationships failed, he began considering the idea. It took a while for him to come around to actually trying it out since he took the loss of his second girlfriend hard and couldn’t bear the thought of dating a THIRD time, but then he realized... he enjoyed sex, not to mention was a wealthy man who had a certain appeal so now he was single, why not make the most of it? After he had his first experience hooking up, he got addicted. Fast. It came and went in waves where he’d focus primarily on his criminal activities for weeks, even months at a time but during quieter periods? He’d charm the latest person who caught his eye into his bed, occasionally calling them back for another round. Money made things a lot easier to deal with, especially without any messy feelings getting involved so Roman hasn’t really looked back since, especially after the incident that caused his mask to fuse to his face.

🎥  - He’s never admitted it to anybody but Roman’s celebrity crush is Roxy Rocket. While not an actress so therefore not a ‘true’ celebrity, he was taken by her deeds performing as a stunt double, finding them to be far more interesting than the titular actress she stood in for during action scenes. His admiration only grew when, upon losing her job because no company would insure her, took her thrill-seeking to the next level and became a minor supervillain in Gotham. Unlike many criminals who were in it for wealth, power or simply to cause murder and mayhem, Roxy’s crimes were fairly benign in nature given that she preferred the thrill of danger over committing serious offences. While the two have never actually spoken to one another, Roman enjoys hearing about her latest encounters with Batman and still has a few ‘behind the scenes’ discs of movies from when she was still employed as a stunt double. 🎀 - As to who Roman would sleep with if anybody ever had to know, it might possibly be Catwoman? It’s been shown in comics that Roman can become fixated on certain individuals and develop some truly nasty obsessions, Catwoman notably being one of them. He’s not sure whether he’d like to sleep with her or torture her on a psychological level far beyond that of most of his victims, but she holds a unique interest for the man that even he’s not sure how it happened exactly.

Of all the things that Roman would use blackmail for, sex would be the least likely out of all of them? It wouldn’t be impossible, especially if he was highly infatuated with the target in question but his level head would win out over lust in that situation because even if they did concede to his wishes, the sex he’d get out of it would most likely be unsatisfactory and with enough partners who are willing to get into bed with him, blackmailing somebody for sex just seems like it would only end up being more trouble than it’s worth.

Most people’s first times aren’t as thrilling or as comfortable as they might have hoped it would be and Roman was no exception to that rule. He was young, dumb and horny as a teenager which, combined with his repressive upbringing, made him quite vulnerable to the first person who showed the slightest interest in him. Circe was a vivacious woman who was very confident in her looks and sexuality, boosting Roman’s self-esteem during a time he was still questioning his identity. She was the first person who accepted him as he was but due to his lack of experience at that age, he had no idea when to speak up or how to stop when things were moving too fast for comfort. Their first time together was right around Roman’s seventeeth birthday, an occasion neither of his parents were interested in very much. Having stolen a vintage bottle of wine from his parent’s cellar, the two young lovers celebrated the evening themselves and one thing quickly led to another. Circe didn’t hesitate to make her move whereas Roman wasn’t certain if he was ready just yet, but the wine had chased away his previous concerns, causing him to give in her advances... He remembers that night with both fondness and regret, how he felt truly loved for the first time in his life but that it was also an experience that was frightening and even a little overwhelming for him. He’s never mentioned it to anybody since, keeping his lips firmly sealed when he realized he’d been taken advantage of and for all the love she’d shown, he was easily replaced once he no longer served a purpose.

😉 What are my muse’s fetishes/kinks?

At this rate, it would be quicker listing what he’s NOT into. Anything unhygienic is a no go as well as kinks he considers to be ‘creepy’ such as age play. Roman might like being called daddy but his tastes lie firmly in partners around his age or even a little older. His preference for mature lovers stem from his experiences in that inexperienced bedmates tend to be a pain in the ass to handle - somebody who knows what they’re doing and has an idea of what they like will always be picked over a blushing violet since he doesn’t have the time or patience to deal with naivety unless he’s really into them. It’s also because some of his fetishes/kinks tend to involve rougher stuff such as breath play, BDSM, edgeplay and orgasm control/denial. He’s a sadist (with a few masochistic tendancies) so not everybody is equipped to handle what he can dish out and craves in return, though he’ll usually try anything at least once so long as it doesn’t skeeve him out too much. MANY TIMES. Roman’s fallen in love not just with people but things as well. His very first love was his father’s suits, how classy and stylish he found them to be to the point where he wanted to wear nothing else for the rest of his life. His love of quality men’s clothes persists to this very day with him having deep pride in his collection of luxury clothing. When it comes to people, he’s had many relationships over the years and grew infatuated with a variety of lovers but his most significant partners were his first and second girlfriend/s. Circe was a top model working for his father’s cosmetics company back when he was still a teenager. She was the first person who accepted him as he was and gave his virginity to her, but she ‘abandoned’ him a few years after the death of his parents when Janus Cosmetics ran into serious financial problems. Roman might not have been nearly so hurt if he hadn’t found she’d already hooked up with another wealthy lover, having moved on to somebody else who could provide the lifestyle she craved. Tiffany, his second girlfriend, was much more genuine in her affection for Roman despite being a drug trafficker. Her untimely demise at the hands of the Joker cut their relationship short however, making it difficult for Roman to open up and become romantically attached to anybody again. He’s grown infatuated with various individuals, usually after a good one night stand but his issues regarding trust and commitment currently prevent him from taking those relationships to the next level.

He is hardcore dominant. Due to past trauma, Roman has trouble dealing with trust and it takes a LOT of effort on his end to willingly cede control over to his partner. Sexually he’s more lenient; he doesn’t care nearly as much whether he’s giving or receiving so long as he’s having a good time but he’ll always strive to be dominant over other men compared to women. It gives him a kick having so much control over somebody who perceives (or is perceived) to be powerful, putting them in their place by showing them he can strip all that power away however he wants, whenever he wants. In a healthy relationship that’s taken time to develop, he’s totally a switch but any relationship can be expected to start with him firmly in control barring significant differences between them (i.e: his lover is metahuman and/or has superpowers since he’s just an ordinary human at the end of the day.)

Has Roman had sex in public? Does his office count? Looking like he does, Roman tends to stand out in a crowd unless it’s from before his mask fused to his face or he’s found a way of concealing his masked features. He wouldn’t mind the thrill of having sex in public, not even caring if he’s got a spectator or two but he’d really rather not deal with members of public calling the GCPD on him and sticking him with charges of public indecency on top of his already lengthy list of crimes. He’ll settle for sex in his office, maybe even hiding a partner under his desk and pretending nothing of the sort is happening while he’s getting some fun from beneath. Paperwork gets boring sometimes.

As long as you’ve got a pretty face but aren’t two-faced, Roman’s willing to roll. He couldn’t care less what race his partner is nor would he care if they have superpowers or not just so long as he’s able to trust them. He can’t settle down with somebody he cannot completely relax around and in his line of work, trust is a very fragile thing to place in another’s hands. He knows he’s a difficult man with a lot of problems so somebody who is understanding of that and is willing to give him his space, yet respect he has feelings and is only human at the end of the day is ideal. Roman’s got a bad temper but he’s got enough self-control not to lash out at his loved ones, something which both Circe and Tiffany understood and therefore didn’t try to ‘change him’ for the better.

💘 - What are the ways my muse says ‘I love you’ without actually saying it?

Roman can be a demanding man but he can be very giving too. He’ll rarely ever openly admit he loves somebody since words are cheap (plus crime lords have plenty of enemies) but he’ll make an effort to show just how important somebody is to him, typically through spoiling them with expensive gifts and praise. He’ll list off all the things he loves about a person, ranging from how good they look to how talented they are, buying them pretty (or desired) gifts to please them. He has good memory for things people (who are important to him) like, including subtle things they might have only mentioned in conversation once or twice. While he has difficulty showing affection due to how uncaring his parents were, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. With somebody that he loves deeply, Roman will actively walk into danger and even take a bullet if he has to. He’ll swear vengeance on anybody whose hurt somebody he’s close to, making it a priority to hurt them right back even if he’s got to spend thousands doing it. This is a man who told the Joker to his face he was going to kill him for what he did to his girlfriend, holding onto a bad grudge until the end of his life.
