Solomon helps MC get closure

Spoiler alert: chapter 16 onwards

"It's another nightmare, MC." Solomon held you hand in the dark. "You're okay, you're here with me. You're safe."

You breathed slowly now, his arms protectively wrapped around you. "Sol...Solomon..." You whispered. He stroked your cheek in confirmation.

"I'm sorry the protection charm didn't work. I'll create a stronger one next time, MC." He apologized.

"It's not your fault, Solomon. You're not the one who put these memories there. It's them. Leaving that house was as far as I could get."

You sighed, looking out the open window. The House of Lamentation looked smaller from here, less threatening.

You had knocked on Solomon's window one night and he let you in. He held you tight as you broke down in tears. He'd never seen you this broken. And every other night since then, he woke up to you softly whimpering in fear. The memories never stopped haunting you.

The angered gazes, the mindless violence, the constant brushes with death and the final blow of feeling your life fade away...

"I think it's time they receive their punishment."

Solomon followed your gaze, a cold rage settling in his heart. He was already partial to you, being a fellow human. And now you won his heart by giving him your trust.

"Punish them? I never let myself think of it. There's seven of them and only one of me. And then there's Diavolo and Barbatos. Even Simeon is partial to Lucifer." You said, shaking your head.

"But you have complete control over seven of them. Even Lucifer." He smiled. "Now is the time for you to use your pacts, MC. Punish them as you see fit. I'll take care of any lesser demons that try to make a mess."

"Killing them won't be fair. I'm alive afterall." You hummed. The realisation that you held so much power and potential within you - it filled you with new found resolve. "What would you suggest?"

"An eye for an eye. A never ending illusion of death for an unwanted rebirth." Solomon smiled. He was excited now. It had been while since he'd done something this exciting.

"I love it. When do we start, Solomon?" You ask leaning on his shoulder.

"As soon as tomorrow, if you wish, MC." He pulled you close, placing a chaste kiss on your lips. You smiled. There was no reason for you to pretend anymore.

"It was a mistake." Satan gripped the book in his hand. His eyes burnt with restrained rage. "I told you it was a mistake."

"So did I! But none of yall listened to us, did ya?" Mammon's hands balled into fists. "MC hasn't been back for weeks, now!"

"And they haven't been talking to us at R.A.D. properly either. I hate this feeling. I want MC to go back to the way they were!" Asmo said, biting his freshly manicured nails.

Levi said nothing. He sat on the floor and kept punching buttons on his phone, his snake like gaze focused on Belphie sleeping on the couch. How dare he be so nonchalant about it...this is all...all because of him...

"Why are you looking at Belphie like that, Levi?" Beel walked over, standing in front of the couch, blocking Levi's gaze.

"It was a decision approved by the majority. Stop complaining about it now." Lucifer said, pulling at his collar. The tension in the room suffocated him.

He stood at the window, looking toward the house of Lamentation. Silently yearning.

"They replied. MC finally replied." Belphie spoke up finally, holding up his phone. They huddled together to get a glimpse of it.

"I'm coming back tomorrow. See you soon."
