Lore Summary:
Parfait randomly found a picture of a mysterious past student of Parfaedia Institute and now she wants to know more about him from people related to this town. Well... turns out that student isn't well-famed there because of his type of magic and it probably wasn't the best decision to ask about him... But who said that Parfait was going to give up searching? Maybe she'll find out that there's more to him than people know?

I thought it would be fun to show you how the holidays have been going in general for the cookies this time around. I'm aware that not everybody is here, but I might have something up soon enough.
Also, if you have anything to ask or say about the holidays in the AU, I'd love to hear it in the inbox or suggestions! These questions, comments, and theories that I've read genuinely surprised me and made me laugh at times. I hope I can see a few more of these gems in the future, though you don't have to feel forced to say something.

Ok so get ready 'cause this is a long one (and sadly no images for this post)--
I haven't talked about this (I think) but sometimes I write scenes in a doc or sort out my thoughts with a friend of mine (thank god she's okay with it).
I've got A LOT of stuff I'm proud of from these scenes I haven't been able to put in comic form because limitations and willpower.
For example, have this really old and potentially not that well written bit from me trying to write out Espresso and Madeleine during their little Christmas side story (I did flower symbolism research before writing it):

Espresso stood up abruptly and dropped his book onto the couch before storming to the door. He took a quick breath to try calming himself down and unlocked the door. He yanked it open and glared at the only human out there who would bother him now: Madeleine.
Madeleine's eyes were wide with surprise. He was holding a bag obviously containing gifts and something that almost threw off Espresso's glare entirely: a bouquet of flowers. It wasn't anything big—red tulips and white roses throughout—but what had nearly caused such a double take was the single black dahlia in the center. It wasn't truly black (instead being a dark burgundy), but something about it almost made Espresso's heart stop. Perhaps it was just how much it felt out of place. Perhaps it had a hidden meaning that he couldn't figure out in that moment. Nonetheless, it was there, and it was blooming against the brightness and warmth surrounding it.

Imma put the takeaways I got from me literally just asking google and looking at flower sites as well and putting it on the doc:
Black flowers are usually negative, but a single one with a gift can show a "powerful gesture with a hint of mystery" and apparently a black dahlia makes a great centerpiece. (source: https://www.interflora.co.uk/blog/black-flowers)
Red tulips = perfect love
white rose = purity. Often used in weddings
Black dahlia (usually dark burgundy) = negative, sadness, betrayal. (Espresso himself)
Am I an expert on flower bouquets? No. Would Madeleine Cookie know his way around flowers in the AU really well? Also no.
I'm just proud of myself for using flower symbolism, though my excitement has cooled off a bit since January and last year's December.
btw if you wanna send in the same prompt or another one I don't mind it helps me focus on this au in particular--

Apologies for the long delay, but a lot of stuff happened that prevented me from continuing my comics, but I promise you all that from now on I’ll try to make them more frequently.

This is not something i do often, but allow me to steal your attention for a bit so i may talk about my old-ish au where i just got around to finally doing something
✨Hypomagia✨
Warning: mentions of death and violence
Hypomagia is set on current Earthbread after all magic has suddenly disappeared; enchanted and cursed items have stopped working, cookies cant cast spells and beings with transformations are stuck in a strange inbetween (no this is not an excuse for me to draw dragons with a muzzle and digigrade legs, why do you ask?)
The day magic disappeared, no one except people that heavily rely on it noticed until the next day, Parfedia and Magic City had pretty much stopped in terms of activities and people just sat boredly waiting for it to return, the Creme Republic imideatly sent all of their scientis and reasearchers to look into why nothing was working but no concrete awnsers were found, the only thing they did get was find out it had affected everyone and everything, animals and plants included
After weeks went by with people still being in the dark, was when things started to go south, riots and attacks began all over the Republic due to hysteria and a lack of awnsers, and a lot of times, the Creme Knights would usually lose due to a sudden dificulty in lifting and use their swords
Meanwhile, Magic City and several kingdoms had fallen into complete panic, with the lack of magic, various wizards disappeared from their homes to search what was happening themselves, but they would usually not get far and never be seen again for various reasons
Almost a month after the magic, several strong beings disappeared as well, Ananas and Lotus were claimed to have vanished in the middle of the night, various legends had abandoned their stations (Sea Fairy, Moonlight, Millenial Tree) and all of the Ancients kingdoms had been abandoned after they all vanished. Currently, the only strong beings that werent reported to be missing or have been spotted somewhere are Pitaya, Capsaicin, Sugar and Black Swan. It is speculated that Wind Archer is being protected by a young bard, but no one knows where they both are
Now days, an entire year after the magic vanished, Madeleine and Espresso, who had both escaped from their respective cities after the riots kept on getting worse and more violent, now walk around a powerless Earthbread with a captured Cream Unicorn after figuring out that while cookies have nothing, magical creature blood can offer small sparks of power if ingested correctly
