[6:02 p.m.] you walk into your apartment, exhausted from the long day you’ve had. you set your bag down, and run your hands through your hair. all that was on your mind was finding the quickest way to change into a t-shirt and hop into bed. as you pull off your shoes, you hear it. your infant daughter’s laughter is ringing through the apartment from her room, and you follow the sound, leaning against the open door and your eyes marveling at the sight of your husband yoonoh sitting on the floor across from her. she’s laughing at the funny faces he’s making and you wish you had a camera to get a picture of this moment. he laughes along with her, and you notice the multiple books and toys surrounding the two of them. it seems as though she’d been awake for sometime, and yoonoh had been trying to figure out what to do with her. she sees you and her supple hands start clawing at you, a gummy smile on her face. it matches her father’s smile, dimples and all. yoonoh turns to see you, with the same loving smile adorned on his face. “hey baby, how was your day?” you walk into your baby girl’s room, and kneel until you’re seated with the two of them. grabbing your daughter into your arms, and leaning against yoonoh as he kisses your forehead, you smile, “much better after seeing my two favorite people on the planet.”
