Little Advice - Tumblr Posts
A couple years ago, a teacher told me and some other guys about how where he lived, there used to be a huge field, where tons of these pale brown capped mushrooms grew.
These pretty buggers were edible, down right lovely. The entire town would collect them and cook them up.
Then one day his mum was cooking up some mushrooms she'd gotten from the field.
And they started to sizzle a bright yellow.
Now the mushrooms didn't normally do this, strange, right.
It turns out, that due to excessive picking, an identical mushroom had grown in the field and they were highly poisonous.
Worst part was the only way to know if you had the right one was to cook them.
And that yellow stuff is damn annoying to clean up after.
Moral of the story:
Mushrooms are dangerous as fuck
My advice:
Grow some potted mushrooms (get the spores from a garden centre)
And leave the wild buggers alone
For those not in the know, this is one of the Amanita mushrooms referred to as a Destroying Angel. Never, ever, ever, ever forage with an app. Especially for mushrooms.
