WENDIGO

Day 28: Camping
~~•~~
The Wendigo is a cryptid reported to live around the East Coast forests of Canada, the Great Plains region of the USA, and the Great Lakes region of the USA and Canada. The creature is created when a human resorts to cannibalism, transforming them into the never satiated cryptid.

IRISH FLAG (layered shot)
First: Prepare a small amount of "orange whiskey" mixture. Since this is an Irish Flag shot, use your favorite Irish whiskey, and add just a tiny splash of grenadine. Mix thoroughly. The whole point of this is to turn the whiskey orange so it fits as part of the Irish flag. Prepare an amount equal to one-third the total number of shots you're making -- so, for three shots make one shot of whiskey mixture, for six make two shots worth, etc.
In a tall clear shot glass,
Pour one-third full of green creme de menthe
Carefully layer (pour over a spoon) one-third irish cream
Layer the final one-third with the orange whiskey mixture (above)
Crash course in case you don't know how to pour layered liquors: The most important thing is to pour the liquors in the order indicated. It's all based on specific density of each liquid, if you pour them out of order it will get all clouded up. The next important point is pouring technique... use a small spoon or a melon baller, something domed that you can hold against the side of the glass. Pour a slow steady trickle over the domed back of the spoon or whatever, let it run slowly down the sides of the glass. The point is to slow the liquid down over as much surface as possible, so it layers instead of mixing.
Drink up! Tastes like a Thin Mint girlscout cookie.
