Dick Grayson is put on mandatory vacation by a concerned BPD and finds a plane ticket booked to Germany in his mail the next day.

(“I am concerned for you, master Richard,” Alfred says when he calls to tell him Bruce can shove his charity right up his- “please do indulge this old man and allow yourself a break?” He doesn’t deserve a break. He needs to keep working or he’s going to come apart at the seams just like Bruce and- “… okay, Alf. Okay.”)

And… it’s nice, Dick will admit. No looking over his shoulder every two seconds, no fear of missed calls, no vigilantes.

Only an idyllic landscape, the hustle and bustle of foreign cities, Jason-

Tim: I haven’t slept in 72 hours…  Jason: I haven’t slept in 80. I’m the insomnia king!  Dick: Ha! I haven’t slept in 90 hours, I’m aiming for an even 100.  Damian: What the fuck is wrong with you people

Jason: Oh god, he texted you ‘hi.’’ punctuation only means one thing, Tim. They're mad at you.  Tim: No, it's Damian. They're just being gramatically correct!  *meanwhile*  Damian: And then I used a period so they'd know that I'm mad at them.  Dick : A period doesn't say 'I'm mad', it says 'you're dead to me'.  Damian: I stand by my choice.

Dick: On a scale from “damn Daniel” to “fre sha vaca do”, how are you feeling? Jason: In between “it’s an avocado, thanks” and “how did you defeat Captain America”, but as a solid answer I would say “I don’t need a degree to be a clothing hanger”. How about you, Tim? Tim: Probably “road work ahead”. Damian: I speak many languages, and this is none of them.

I like imagine that at some point during Jason’s stay with the young Justice team, there would be a touching moment between Dick and him.

Idk, maybe Jason is exposed to fear toxin or something. Point is, he’s not having fun at all. But Jason wouldn’t let it show at all, like they can hardly tell.

Like, he is hallucinating so much from the fear toxin, but only his hands are shaking, barely.

Anyway, the team is concerned and try to talk with him, but can’t get through to him. So, their entire ride back is filled with silence and glances to him.

Only when Jason gets back and is able to meet with Dick does he let go. Like, Jason hugs him, in public, then starts violently shaking. Dick will just scoop him up and leave real fast. And if he can’t leave, he’ll still hold him and comfort him.

Anyway, it’s just sweet to think about this

Don’t get me wrong, I love Red Hood and he is so cool in most comics he is in.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD QUIT MAKING HIM AN ANGRY AND BAD ROBIN. PLEASE. he wasn’t like that!

Him and Dick had a wonderful relationship! Dick GAVE HIM HIS OLD ROBIN COSTUME TO SHOW HE ACCEPTED HIM. They were brothers in every sense.

AND Jason was JUST AS HAPPY AS DICK WHEN HE WAS ROBIN. He wasn’t angry or over excessive til much later in his career, mostly towards the end.
