This is a passion project inspired by my childhood filled with Minecraft parodies, published stories on Minecraft adventures, and my love of science fiction, mystery, and fantasy. From the Ground Up is titled after Laura Shigihara's original Minecraft song of the same name. // Myth, a Sculk Citizen who has managed to make a harrowing escape from his City deep beneath the Overworld's surface, finally achieves his dream of seeing the sun and stars. He pushes onward to work toward freeing his fellow Citizens from their dark, treacherous homes and fix ancient mistakes in order to restore his people to their communal, connected lives above ground. There's something off about the world around him, as if it's trying to tell him something about his past; and with the help of his surface-dwelling friends, Myth is determined to build his new life from the ground up.
