Rambling about Gaia

Deadass, I absolutely adore Gaia. She provides me a narrative I rarely get to see in anime fandoms. Even though I’m the one writing her. She’s seen as strong by people around her, but in truth, she’s putting up a front. She is afraid and nervous but doesn’t want others to see.

She has her own doubts about herself. She doesn’t truly see her own capabilities and abilities. She’s always underestimating herself but puts on the mask of self confidence. She thinks she knows herself now and when we get further into the story, when that belief is shaken and ripped apart, she’s gonna realize that even before, when she thought she was *********, that she didn’t know herself at all.

She’s going to have weak moments She’s going to have painful moments She’s gonna have times where all she wants to do is give up and lay on the ground. It’s tempting to write a black girl as strong all the time. Never showing fear or weakness

Always knowing what to do.

But...that wouldn’t be true at all. Because that isn’t true.

I love your energy! Lmao, yes, totally serious. All of my OCs are black unless stated otherwise.

My avi isn’t Gaia, that’s me in a style from another fandom. Though, this did make me realize that I haven’t really posted any of my Gaia drawings on here, so I’ll get to that. But Gaia IS badass! Unapologetically and that what I love about her.

“And not be like “well I’m friends with half demons’ like a lot of nb writers assume you want to be talked to?” OMG You are the first person I’ve seen point that out. YES, I hate that with a passion. Like....Befriending literal demons=Being friends with black people??? The racism jumps out. I’m glad I was able to give you a break from THAT. 

Lmao, oh yeah the “You waited till last minute?!” question with that tone that says “you about to get your behind kicked.” from moms. I had the tendency of doing that as a kid and boy, did I get in so much trouble because of it. Gaia’s experiences at home is based off of mine, sooooo.....be prepared for more war flashbacks lol. 

I love hearing people’s thoughts and reactions to Gaia. It makes me so happy and inspires me.

The Dragon’s Flight Update!

Chapter 7 of Gaia’s story; The Dragon’s Flight is finally out! 

This chapter is mostly Gaia and Kagome chilling and taking a break that they rightfully deserve.

Kagome and Gaia’s Friendship

You know what I loved most about Chapter 8?

The friendship and teamwork between Kagome and Gaia. And the way they support each other.

This is Kagome’s and Gaia’s first fight (technically Gaia’s 2nd but she slipped into a haze midway in that one sooo....yeah) and the first time they (attempt) to use their powers with precision. 

Even when people were doubting them, the girls were able to make up a plan and communicate effectively with minimal chatter. A sentence or two, a gesture, and that was all that Gaia needed to understand. They combined their powers, that they barely understand yet, and pulled it off perfectly!

Well, almost perfectly.

Kagome trusts Gaia to have her back in dangerous times and Gaia trusts Kagome with the same thing, Despite being friends for a short amount of time, they were able to pull off a seemingly stupid plan pretty easily imo.

Its so cool to see and even cooler to write and it almost makes me regret what I’m about to do in the upcoming chapters........

The Dragon’s Flight has been updated!

Chapter 9 is finally up and there is a little explanation to my absence in the notes at the end. The chapter is kinda shorter than normal because it is more focused on Gaia and her thoughts and feelings about everything and Kagome helping her.

Sidenote: I don’t usually post these but lately I’ve been using tumblr to cope with self issues and life. I feel like I shouldn’t be embarrassed for doing these. Though I must admit I’m not a good writer and am a amateur at best but anyways I hope you enjoy :)

Warnings: None!! Only fluff.

In the middle of the night a cry of pain was heard. Inuyasha heard it and was notified to get up. He wasn’t sleeping either way only resting. It sounded so close to him too. The first thing Inuyasha thought about was Kagome and soon enough he recognized it came from Kagome herself. Kagome held her stomach and softly gasped in pain. Inuyasha who slept below Kagome quickly stood up disturbed. Before all this Inuyasha had suggested on the idea that Kagome should have kept all the space for herself now that she was carrying their child and though Kagome didn’t agree Inuyasha took on his own idea. “KAGOME!” Inuyasha shouted at a volume that wouldn’t sound so alarming. “Inuyasha..” Kagome replied sounding very weak. Inuyasha grabbed Kagome’s hand which she held out. He scanned her whole body to see if was she was bleeding from anywhere knowing that even if she was he would have scent it much earlier. “Kagome. Is it the pup? Does it want to come out already?” If Kagome wasn’t in so much pain she would have laughed at Inuyasha’s lack of knowledge for pregnancies. Especially because Kagome wasn’t even past 4 months. Finally being able to respond to him she told him “No,I don’t think so Inuyasha.” She sighed trying to feel more relaxed. “It must the type of pain that pregnant people experience from time to time. You know? Because the belly is expanding. When my mom was carrying Sota and me she al—Agh!!” Inuyasha reacted fast “Kagome!” Not moving his eyes away from her for not even one second. Kagome closed her eyes. “It hurts Inuyasha...But I do this for the baby...and for us.” She gave him a small smile. Inuyasha’s body felt shaking from all over but how he felt inside was a complete different story. He was relieved that Kagome was okay so why did he feel like...crying? Feeling a teardrop wanting to come out Inuyasha turned away. “BAHH!! DON’T LOOK AT ME. I’M NOT EVEN THE ONE IN PAIN AND I’M CRYIN—I MEAN I’M NOT. NO WAY. I’M A MAN.I DON’T CRYY.” Kagome giggled. He was super ridiculous sometimes. “What’s wrong Inuyasha? Scared you might lose your manliness?” Inuyasha kept holding Kagome’s hand. “Why you...Mph! He pouted. “You’re just lucky you are carrying our child KA-GO-ME.” He crossed his legs. Kagome smirked. “Yeah right Inuyasha. Like you’d hurt me.” Inuyasha’s ears stood up. “Hey! Hey! I didn’t mean it that way!!” Kagome glanced at Inuyasha. “But—uh...I guess you are right.” He scratched a chin with his finger nail. Kagome nodded in response still smirking. “I’ve gone soft..” Inuyasha admitted aloud. “Perhaps you have.” Inuyasha bent down laying his head against Kagome’s stomach gentle as possible. “Well...It doesn’t seem to matter to me anymore. Really I’m just happy. That I’ll get to stay with you...and the pup.” Inuyasha’s free hand softly patted her stomach. “Together for our lifetime and hopefully even after. I mean I’ll even teach it how to hunt! Under my care of course because like it’s mother...I’ll protect them with my life.” Kagome smiled. She ran her fingers through his hair which he shivered at. She placed a kiss on his head. Inuyasha felt himself blush and reacted with pressing onto her hand. “We haven’t even met this child but we are already so excited.” Kagome thought to herself becoming more happier just thinking about the future. “I can’t wait to name it.” Inuyasha kept on. “I can’t wait either.” Kagome said. At times like these Kagome swore she could feel a string wrapped around her finger that was connected between hers and Inuyasha’s.
