I just had to take a step back because being a Tae fan in this chapter is wild.

Because Layover. My heart. The songs, his voice, the aesthetic, the vibe. That little spritely blond prince laughing and splashing around Spain. (When he's not crooning in gold sequins in a cave). And so it's like, okay. This is Solo Tae. I love it.

(And let's just skip over all the distinct live performances where Tae really said "call me just a visual" with his whole chest)

But then, Love Wins All out of nowhere. Just decided to star as the most endearing romantic lead in the most breathtaking cinematic music video for one of the most beloved singers in the country. And just ate it up. The chemistry, the acting. Had everyone gasping and crying and begging for more. Like it was a full scale shock to the system.

And then like 20 minutes later we get Fri(end)s. The song is amazing. His vocals just keep getting better somehow. He looks amazing. The music video is pretty and quirky and queer in all the best ways.

And then he has the absolute nerve to just randomly pop up on the internet BUFF and dancing hip hop.

This is the same person in less then a year. And it's not even everything. (See: interning in Mexico, blowing up a coffee chain with a Wes Anderson style commercial and hanging out with Jackie Chan in a velvet suit).

He's such a fascinating person.

I couldn’t have said it better!! He’s so multifaceted and it’s so fun to admire a person like him, he always has something to offer and to show you. Always giving his best in everything he does.

I hope he keeps exploring and keeps doing things that make him happy, because you can just tell every single thing he did during chapter 2 was something he always wanted to do. And the fact that he gave his input everywhere, I don’t know how to explain but it’s so refreshing to see someone genuinely loving what he does.

reasons to write fanfiction (I'll start):

share a cool scene that popped into your head

evoke a particular emotion the canon makes you feel

song made you think of a character or idea from canon

make people feel the same way about a character you do

make dolls kiss for fun

explore ideas the canon hints at but doesn't do anything with

traumatize characters and make them suffer

coddle characters and let them rest

had an insane idea for a crack ship and now everyone needs to know

the author of the canon was wrong and must be fixed

use familiar characters to explore your own ideas and plotlines

canon is too short and you need to wallow in the universe of the story
