Inquiring Minds Want To Know - Tumblr Posts
If you asked me to envision a burdenbeast, my first guess would have been cow. Then horse; after all, people milk horses. Afterwards, I’d have started wracking my brain, trying to think of all the different animals people have used for pulling heavy loads, riding, and dairy, with the assumption that maybe we didn’t use them for all three of those tasks but the people of Terra did. Then I’d imagine some sort of fantasy animal.
Needless to say…

…megacerops was not in my list of possibilities. In fact, if you sat me down and told me I had to guess what a burdenbeast was to leave, I’d probably die in that seat.
Definitely not complaining, though. It’s a wonderful idea.
All-Fandom Fic Writer Poll: Replying to Comments
Hey, fanfiction writers! I have a question for you.
When you post your fic somewhere like AO3, LJ, here, or other sites, and someone leaves a positive comment–whether that's an in-depth analysis, a brief word of praise, or something in between–do you reply?
If you don't, whether that's only missing one occasionally, or default never replying, why is that?
As a writer myself, I live for comments and endeavour to reply to every one. Sometimes I've failed at that due to episodes of poor mental health or temporary lack of energy/spoons or anxiety, and then feeling too embarrassed to reply after the delay.
But what about you? Especially authors who never reply. As a needy little fucker for reader interaction, you are an enigma to me. Help me out here.
Would be super grateful if you could reblog for a wider audience. Feel free to tag your fandoms, pairings, and friends to reach your communities. Thanks for voting!
