here’s another maybe controversial/hot take: halloween should have been an anthology series and not a michael myers franchise. halloween iii would had been a critical success if halloween ii didn’t exist. at that point after halloween ii, audiences were too invested in michael myers that it was too late to turn halloween into the anthology series it was always meant to be

I like the first three Halloween movies and like nothing else
not even the most recent ones
I kinda hate those movies tbh lol
it should’ve been a long running cool anthology series about Halloween related stories that have similar themes like masks or something idk
like the first story was about a masked killer the second about a killer line of costume masks
they could’ve kept this mask thing going as the thing that ties them together!!!
it would’ve been so cool!!!!!!!!
like Micheal is great but his story is over!
they could’ve also had two movies for the silver shamrock plot then had two movies for the next and so on but no only Micheal
it’s especially sad because I love anthology series and movies so much man so much
