another reason why i think beyond evil is a rom com: at around the halfway point of the drama, it is absolutely paramount that the heartbroken character returns with a new haircut + a sluttier attitude. case in point, all about my romance, which is perhaps one of the silliest and yet the most rom coms of rom com kdramas: 

just some guy who got his heart broken by his love interest (aka the protagonist), who, frankly, has too much stuff on her plate to go around dating people. so our poor male lead cuts his hair (~symbolism~) and returns with a bit of resentment. 

now, where have we seen this? aha–
