I did do that. I didn't think they'd believe me, and I certainly didn't think they'd continue believing me after they wound up consuming more Transformers media.

I had forgotten about it by the time it came up again. It was literal years apart, I'm more shocked that they remembered in the first place.

I almost regret admitting that Rhinobee was fake lol

when I was younger my brother saw a red Camaro with black stripes and said "that looks like RhinoBee" and obviously I asked "who is that" and he explained to me in depth that Rhinobee was a Decepticon; specifically the evil double-crossing twin of autobot Bumblebee. because he was a superfan of all Transformers works I took this as gospel and did not question it.

years later I saw a red Camaro with black stripes and said "look, it's Rhinobee" and he stared at me bewildered so I said "you know, Bumblebees evil Decepticon twin." and he was genuinely shocked (and found it hilarious) that for years I had just shelved the knowledge of this Transformers character he completely fabricated for no reason
