I think I kinda covered a mini confession in my first post about this dude

I will never stop saying he is SO CARING

Hunk has such a big heart and it grows even more whenever he's around you

Gentle hugs, goofy smiles, and easy conversations are things that come with being with him!

He can read you like an open book at this point, knows when you're upset just by looking at your face, and can easily raise your mood no matter the situation

When you're around him you cannot for the life of you stop smiling

He just brings you so much happiness with his sarcastic and funny comments

Omg wait he's literally the light in your life I'm crying

I think he would be super lovey dovey with you, like do you remember how he was with the balmera in season 1, that's basically how he is in your relationship, very loving

He loves holding your hand! He likes how his hand basically engulfs yours, makes him feel like he could protect you from anything!

Hunk would give you lots of hugs, especially after grueling missions

I think Hunk would thrive off of physical affection ngl

But if you aren't a huge fan of physical touch, he would totally respect that! He would lay off the physical touching, wanting you to feel comfortable no matter what

But if you were to be the one to initiate it though, he would give it back to you tenfold, he does not waste that opportunity

Imagine him leaning back on you while you're brushing his hair after he's taken a shower. He loves how domestic those nights feel, even if you guys are in a ship floating in space, far from your homes

During these nights, Hunk would talk about his family a lot while holding you in his arms

He would tell you about his mom's cooking and his dad's encouraging words, cousins that would bug him for no reason, yet he wouldn't change a thing about them

He really wants you to meet his family when you guys get back to earth :(

Dating Hunk means getting special privileges!! He cooks you meals whenever you're craving something, which he doesn't exactly do for the other paladins often

Loves cooking with you, he feels like he's always showing a piece of his heart to you whenever it's just the two of you making a meal

Food is another love language for him

He is just so considerate of you and you're entire being, out of all the paladins (even Keith), I would definitely marry Hunk because of this😭

But because he tends to put others before himself, he often forgets that he needs to be taken care of too

Make him a meal by yourself and he's crying tears while eating your food (even if sometimes it's not that good) HE LOVES IT REGARDLESS

Hold his face in your hands and he's already melting

Hunk would feel so much pride if you complimented him on his knowledge and brains whenever he and Pidge are working their magic on tech or something along those lines

He is really protective of you lowkey

He can't even imagine you getting hurt during a mission, he doesn't even want to think about the possibility

So whenever you’re all are exploring a new planet, Hunk is always right by your side, ready to pounce if something threatening approaches you all

Omg wait imagine if he plans a mini date on one of the calmer days they have on the planet you guys are visiting

He would go all out on the date because you guys don't have time to just sit and relax because of all the fighting

Fairy lights he borrowed from Pidge, a basket to fill with food and drinks he found in one of the storage closets, a blanket Coran generously offered because "one cannot simply eat on the ground without protection!"

He would bring all your favorite foods, and his as well, wanting to give you more of his heart and love

You both would watch the sunset and stargaze in silence, your companies being enough for the both of you while holding hands

Hunk makes me feel so soft I can't😭

Overall, being in a relationship with Hunk is all good vibes only

You guys would get in a lot of shenanigans together and at the end of the day, your relationship with him is what makes this crazy journey worth it all

Paladins S/O being the New Pilot to their Lions

Hunk

Ok starting strong, I feel like Hunk would at first be kinda happy and relieved?

He’s happy that his s/o is experiencing such an amazing and special bond with the yellow lion

He realizes that the bond the lion and you have is actually much stronger and different compared to his and he just like

He would try and show you how to pilot yellow, only to see how natural flying is for you

He’s happy for you!! You begin taking the lion out on missions since it’s much more responsive with you

For him, it feels like that big responsibility of saving the universe has been lifted off his shoulders and he can finally relax

But those feelings slowly leave him once he notices just how out of loop he is with the group now

Hunk is a very reminiscent person in my opinion so I feel like Hunk is gonna start missing the yellow lion😭

At one point Hunk is going to feel left out💔

With no lion to fly, Hunk is stuck in the castle, maybe helping Coran with stuff, left to do whatever he wanted

And the thing is, Hunk wants to fly yellow again! As much as the pressure of being a paladin of Voltron got to him at time, he misses all of it

Hunk misses the feeling of excitement when flying his old lion, he misses the interactions he had with the other paladins during missions, he even misses the battles that happened more often than not

In general, Hunk misses being the paladin of the yellow lion

He’s grown to love the life of adventure that was bestowed upon him, but he feels like he can’t tell you any of this

Of course he’s supportive of you, but he can’t help the empty feeling growing in him whenever you excitedly talk about how amazing a particular mission went

How yellow revealed a new ability when in battle

For him, it feels like everyone is moving on while he’s stuck in the past

Lance

Lance wouldn’t want to believe that you had a stronger bond with blue

What originally was him showing off his lion turned into you becoming the new paladin of the blue lion

This dude is in DENIAL

if he’s flying blue or red, this dude would still not believe he got dumped twice

When he tires flying blue and it doesn’t turn on like in that one episode, he is absolutely devestated

And it makes you feel really bad in the beginning😭 he doesn’t make you feel bad about ‘taking’ blue from him, but anyone can see how it affected Lance

It gets to a point where neither of you fly blue, so when voltron is absolutely needed during battle

Lance has to hype you up

Even if he’s still sad and upset about no longer being the blue lions paladin, in this moment, Lance is literally the only one who can encourage his s/o to fly the lion

Like he would lowkey be emotional, but him encouraging you to fly blue is like his final goodbye

Not in a forever type of way but goodbye to the paladin stage of his life😭💔

Lance tries not to let his mood affect your learning curve when flying blue

It’s still a touchy subject for him, but he always manages to smile and congratulate you with any new progress you make

He always asks how blue is, if there’s anything you need help with. And as much as you understand and feel for your boyfriend, it gets to a point where it feels like he’s too concerned for the lion

With all the extra time he has in the castle, I feel Like Lance goes through this existential crisis😔

Was he just a place holder for the blue lion until you came along? Did he even belong in the team anymore now that he was essentially useless to everyone? Did anyone even notice his absence in the group? Did he even matter to them?

He doesn’t fly a lion now, he doesn’t know how to work any of the Altean tech. His bayard was now yours. The most he added to the group was small comments here and there during debriefing meetings

I think this would put a strain in y’all’s relationship lowkey

It feels like Lance is pulling away from you and you can’t do anything but watch as he walks further away from you

I think he might even consider asking Allura to send him home, back to Earth

Yeah Lance would REALLY go through some stuff if his s/o would take over as the blue lions paladin😔

Keith

I feel like put everyone, depending on which lion Keith is currently piloting, he’d mostly be pretty ok with it

If he were still piloting the red lion, I think Keith would be more aggressive to his s/o, always pushing them to train longer and nitpick at their flying😭

He’s not used to watching from the sidelines, so he’s lowkey trying to fly red through you (like come on bro)

BUTTT

If he were piloting the black lion and it so happened to choose you as it’s new pilot, he’s immediately stepping down as leader of the group for you

I feel like he would try convincing himself that he’s doing it for you because there’s obviously a reason why you were chosen

But deep down inside, he’s just using that as an excuse to get away from that stressful role

We all know how Keith was when he first began as the leader of voltron and even when he was a part of the blade of marmora

He would be the most relieved and ok one out of everyone if you were chosen to fly his lion

But because he would step down from this role so quickly and spend most of his time with the Blades, this would leave you in a very frazzled state

Like you thought your boyfriend was gonna show you the ropes of flying the black lion

Teach you how to tune in with it, get better at flying general

But now you’re just struggling to lead the team as the new leader, feeling confused and stressed the longer you fly the black lion

And Keith wouldn’t even know because of how often he’s out on missions with the blades💔

This puts a BIG strain on your guys relationship, something that Keith is once again clueless on

Pidge

Like lowkey, i have no idea how Pidge would react to you being the green lions new, chosen pilot💀

I think at first she would believe it’s a joke but once she realizes that only you can pilot the green lion

She kinda just zones out

Pidges world freezes since she’s technically been replaced by her s/o

She knows she should be happy for you, excited that you get to experience what she has with flying the lion but she just can’t

She would probably feel like she lost her important purpose in life

Y’all remember when Pidge had that flashback of her father telling her she was gonna be apart of something amazing? Something that everyone would step back and admire?

Yeah, that memory flashes through her mind

I think she would feel like she lost something so important, and she kinda did. She’s no longer apart of the group bringing change to the entire galaxy, and she’s suddenly back to square one

She’s back to just being a normal person who so happens to be traveling with Voltron

Pidge would give her s/o the cold shoulder for a while, and not even realize it😔💔

But the positive thing to come out of this situation is that she’d be able to focus of creating and building new tech

It would be a comfort thing she would retreat to if she gets sad remembering she’s no longer the green lions paladin

Shiro

We’ve already seen Shiro get replaced by Keith, so I’m like pretty sure it would be the same deal with his s/o😭

It’s a complete shock when the black lion responds to you, like no one was expecting it

Everyone was so used to having Shiro lead them and be the leader of Voltron that it’s hard to maintain that same energy when you become the new paladin

Shiro would have mixed feelings about the situation

He’s gotten so used to being on top of things and leading with confidence

But now that you’re the new paladin and leader, Shiro’s forced to sit back and watch from the sidelines

It lowkey makes him a little anxious now that he can’t be with the team whenever on missions

You already know this man is gonna be constantly looking over your shoulder😭 as much as he wants you to grow and learn to become a leader, he can’t help butting in from time to time to try and lead the team

And at first you’re ok with it cuz!! You’re HELLA nervous being the black paladin, so having your boyfriend ‘guide’ you is such a reliever

But when you actually try to make plans and be Voltrons leader, Shiro is always there trying to speak over you

It’s like when him and Keith were getting used to the change in paladins for the black lion

It becomes a problem when you both start butting heads and lowkey arguing in front of the group whenever having mini meetings

Shiro unfortunately can’t sit by idle, he still feels likes it’s his responsibility to lead everyone even though he’s no longer flying the lion

And you respect that, you really do! But having someone constantly doubt your own decisions really does have a negative effect on your relationship

This would also cause the team to kinda choose sides

Some might trust you, others might trust Shiros judgement better

This really does put a strain on everyone, should they listen to the ex paladin who led them for so long or put their trust in the new lions paladin?

I think he would also lowkey try to reconnect with the black lion😭 he feels guilty about it but he just wanted to see

Wanted to see if this was how things were going to be from now on

Man I just want to lay on Hunk and listen to his goddamn heartbeat while he wraps those beefy arms around me UGHH 😭💫💕

I feel like Hunk runs a high body temperature

There are pros and cons to this

Pros: He’s really fucking cozy

Cons: He’s so cozy you keep dozing off during cuddling sessions and drooling a bit on his chest

He insists he doesn’t mind but you’re a little embarrassed

He smells really fucking good

It varies depending on what he cooked that day but it’s usually either something similar to vanilla or more herby

Don’t be fooled by his thicc™ appearance, that boy works out very frequently to keep up the strength needed by a paladin

That is ALL muscle

Still, he’s soft™ and very comfortable to either lay your head on or your whole body if you so desire

He likes to talk when you two cuddle

Don’t worry if you can’t find anything to talk about, he’ll talk more than enough for the both of you

As long as you at least give an occasional hum so he knows you didn’t fall asleep yet, he doesn’t mind if you’re quiet

If you do fall asleep, he’s not above waking you up

He usually only does this when he can’t fall asleep

If he has to suffer, so do you

Any other time, he’ll resign himself to just play with your hair, listen to you breathing, maybe watch you sleep if you two are in a position that allows that

He just thinks you’re really cute ok??

Even if you’re drooling on his shirt

When you fall asleep on him, he will not move a muscle until you wake up

He doesn’t want to disturb you

Typically he likes when you lay on top of him in some way or next to him

He’s got this irrational fear that he’ll crush you

It stems from his own internalized fatphobia unfortunately

You two are working on it

Sometimes when you two sleep together, you’ll wake up in a position where you’re spooning him

Hunk highkey enjoys this and might pretend to sleep for a few extra minutes just to stay like that

Hunk really enjoys having you close to him

Whether you’re sitting on his lap when you two are chilling

Or when you lazily wrap your arms around him and watch from over his shoulder when he’s working with some of his engineering stuff

So cuddling is 100/10 in Hunk’s book

If Hunk is having a bad day, one of the best things you can do for him is just cuddling with him

It’s a really good way to boost his mood no matter the situation

And if you’re stressed or feeling bad?

Cuddling with Hunk is guaranteed to be a cure

You two could just sit down and cuddle in the middle of a battlefield and after just like five minutes it’ll feel like you just got back from a week long vacation

Logically you two wouldn’t do that but you get what I mean lmao

I feel like Hunk gets kind of giggly when he’s tired and just finds everything a little funny

It’s vv cute and you have a small collection of videos of him talking in this mood that you keep for yourself

Not only do they boost your mood but also you use them as evidence to show Hunk what a dork he is when he’s tired
