the thing about naruhina is that it has a great setup, and if kishimoto didn't hate women it would've worked out great. naruto’s brashness tempered by hinata’s placidity, making him a little more calm and level-headed. hinata’s shyness getting influenced by naruto’s outgoing nature, making her more confident in herself and her opinions. both of them supporting each other through tough times. naruhina would’ve symbolised naruto’s growth. he knows he has everyone’s acknowledgement now. but the girl who saw the good in him when no one else did is the one he loves because he never had to prove anything to her. he could be naruto uzumaki, weakest ninja of konoha, and hinata would love him still. as kids we want the cooler kids to like us because we can be as awesome as them, but as adults we want someone to like us in spite of, or rather for our uncool tendencies. the entire issue of naruhina being out of left field could be solved by giving them more time together. literally. just that. and i know hinata isn’t a main character but she’s literally going to be a love interest for the protagonist, so she should have more time with him. anyways naruhina as a concept is goals, but the execution was bad, for lack of a better word.
glad i stayed alive to watch naruto grow up.

My biggest Naruto theory is that hagoromo has been reincarnating along with Indra and Ashura taking the form of Sakura, Tsunade, and Rin over the last few times. I'm sure this is a theory that literally no one will agree with but I can't shake it out of my head
I think outside of characters that are wasted potential in Naruto, I think a concept that was definitely wasted is the Chunin Exams. It would’ve been a really good way of wrapping up certain plot lines in Naruto pt. 1 especially if they did it in early Shippuden. They also would’ve been able to explore whatever type of training the main cast did over the time skip. I always wondered why they never did them more it just seems like the easiest way to show character development.
(Also I know they did another one but to me that was a filler arc honestly)
