Guest Farm Hakos is located two hours' drive away from Windhoek, on top of the Gamsberg Pass. Especially amateur astronomers like the farm, because the high elevation at the edge of the desert gives best opportunities for observation and photography. From the farm house you have a wonderful view to the Hakos Mountains and into the Namib Desert.

The Hakos Mountains, 2 000 m above sea level, are an interesting and mystical geographical feature being the only folded mountain range in Namibia. You will find undisturbed nature in many areas of Namibia, especially on farm Hakos. For amateur geologists the opportunity awaits to discover million years of earth's history in the surrounding of the farm and on the edge of the desert.

Die Hakos Gästefarm liegt zwei Autostunden von Windhoek entfernt auf dem Gamsberg Pass.
