Oh and sweet sultry stares
His heart won't spare!

Then and there I died
Shattered in million pieces
Without bleeding hard

They have never been democratic with Native people! They have never been democratic with Indians! They have never been democratic with Hawaiians!”

Things that People Forget About When Writing Sword Fights
You don’t have to dodge by a foot. You only have to dodge by an inch.
Not all swords are made the same way. You wouldn’t fight with a katana the same way you would fight with a broadsword.
You don’t need to aim for the heart or the head. Get the vein in wrist, and you could incapacitate that hand.
Small cuts matter. If you’re cut up enough, you’re going to start suffering from blood loss, and that’ll put you at a disadvantage.
The blade isn’t the only thing that matters. There isn’t some set of rules in sword fighting where you can only stick the stabby end into the other person. Hit them in the head with the hilt, and they’ll feel it.
If there are multiple attackers, you want to incapacitate or kill each one as quickly as possible. Endurance matters, especially when you’re not only swinging/stabbing/aiming something that is 2-5 lbs (ceremonial ones were a lot heavier, but wouldn’t be generally fought with) but also taking/blocking heavy blows from at least one opponent.

Relaxation and calming my mind
When I write in my haiku journal, I have a tendency to listen to or watch Bob Ross paint. He gives me motivation when I want to be creative. Also I tend to have negative thoughts, so his calm voice is very relaxing.
My New Hobby and Appreciation for Life
2021 was a year of sadness and grief for me because of the loss of my grandpa. I felt hopeless and did not have the motivation to do anything. I lost interest in a lot of hobbies and communicating with my friends (I now only have 1 friend). But during that tough moment in my life, I ran into something that has continued to peak my interest. Haiku poetry. I ran into haiku while at the library (I had lost interest in reading and was looking for something of interest) and fell in love with how short yet vivid this short form of poetry is. It makes me think that one doesn’t need to say a lot to tell a story. In the process of coming to terms with my grandpa’s passing, I always went for long walks to get some fresh air (it was hard to push myself out of bed). I was always fascinated by the wildlife all around me. So I spent most of the year writing haiku to keep my mind off of anything that had to do with sorrow and grief. I would always write what I saw on my walks and create a new haiku about my experience. It’s interesting that haiku is a journey of experiencing through the senses of the writer.
It is now 2022 and I plan to share my haiku with anyone who is interested. I wish to be creative again and my love for haiku motivates me to go outside and appreciate life the best I can. I hope you all enjoy my upcoming poems, thank you!

New haiku is up! Today's haiku is about needing to update…but the ADHD is hitting hard.

Haiku# 1- Know the Enemy
Nature loves us all
Yet you pollute it freely
Know the enemy
Haiku# 2- Everyone’s Grude
Color of our skin
It’s the greatest divider
Hatred burns deeply
A visual version of an earlier poem I did.

Drawn by the tides
Brushstroke of ocean
Painted tides of the sea
Yet fear stops me
