I'm here to combat the vicious homophobic granny smith rumours
Okay Internet! I have a question!
So you know how some beloved childhood favorites (ie, Hello Kitty, the Smurfs, etc.) Are described as being three apples tall?
But the question is- what apple? Like, what specific apple? Could be random, yes. Am I crazy to think this? Also yes.
But it's just bugging me since they never specify the apple!
Apples come in all sizes and shapes, right? And that also includes height and stackability. So what apple would be a reasonable apple to measure our beloved Smurf friends or Kitty companion? Out of curiosity?
APPLES TO DA CORE✨️
I bucked up with Pear Butter's proportions(._.)
But I am so proud of her design🥹
Enjoy!^³^💖🌺
Something tells me I already know who's gonna be chsen next🌚
But anyway

granny smith and twisty tart!
drabble abt this under the read more :0)
“Tha’ magic of us apples has been around so long as our family has.”
Granny Smith spoke as she settled into the moist, freshly tilled soil she’d led her great-grandchild too. The cool brought by it was welcome relief against the pounding sun of ponyville summers. Twisty Tart could feel it in their hooves, a noticeable difference from the earth even only a few steps where they now stood.
“Or, all earth ponies I spose’….” Her gaze drifted to the distance. “Back in ma’ day, why… earth ponies were th’ most respected creature in Equestria!” Twisty Tart watched as Granny Smith’s hooves began to glow, the magic slowly traveling until it seemed the old mare radiated with this long-forgotten power. “Our family has stuck with tradition, keepin’ the bellies full of ponies everywhere! I reckon’ we’re a rare breed, nowadays… it takes ah’ good, honest heart ta’ grow crops the right way.”
Her half-lidded gaze then returned to them, smiling at the younger pony who took so keenly after her. “Well, go on ahead Twisty!” Granny Smith lifted her head, inviting them to try.
“But, granny… how?” Twisty Tart was a foal of few words, and her smile grew at the question. She saw so much of her family in Twisty. “Feel tha’ soil.” She spoke as she reached a hoove to theirs, magic sparkles falling as she did- causing shoots of grass to begin springing upwards. “There’sa’ history in these here grounds. Tha’ story of our family, how we made our place in this town.”
As she spoke, Twisty Tart’s eyes slid closed. They imagined Granny when she was young, when she was only Apple Pie Smith- the daughter of Ma & Pa Smith, founders of Ponyville. As their hooves sunk into the mud, they swore they could hear as Apple Pie and Pa tilled the fields for the first time, taste as Granny Smith taught Bright Mac the recipes she would continue to pass onto her grand-children- and then unto Twisty Tart. They could even see their own mother, Applejack, when she was only a filly- working the fields.
“Well, looky’ there…” The foal blinked, having not realized they’d gotten so lost within the memories of old. As they looked down, they saw the same magic radiating from their own hooves. Apple magic. Earth pony magic.
It had been so long since Granny had taught this lesson- one all apple’s learned around Twisty’s age. If she thought hard enough, she could remember teaching this to Big Mac, Applejack, and Applebloom. Even further, Bright Mac. She distantly hoped to live long enough to teach this to all of her great grand children, and their children if she was so lucky.
“I’m doin’ it, Granny?” “You’re doin’ mighty fine, Twisty.”

some old doodles i did of if the flim flam brothers were part of the apple family. I'd think they'd be the ones who would be manning the stall in the town center or maybe even still occasionally doing travelling sales to promote the farm.
I stand by the fact that in their first appearance the super speedy cider squeezy wasn't actually a scam, it did work. so in this i think they wouldn't be as scammy as they ended up being by the end of the show. As they're good sales men and when they have a genuine product there no need for them to lie.
exaggerate? yeah ofc, they're still themselves. But i think the contrast between the more humble down to earth fam next to the theatrical, exaggerating twin unicorns is very funny.
help girl my mind has been consumed by horses

Applejack’s family tree in my Exileverse AU 🍎 Yes, the Pear family are cows! I imagine bovines and equines are often at odds with one another.
Some notes:
- The Pear genes lost to the Apple genes when it comes to Applejack and her siblings. Mostly it just made them very hard-headed, literally
- Neither the Apple nor Pear family can remember what their feud began over
- Granny Smith and Sugar Bee had five other children but I couldn’t fit them all on the family tree lol
- Bright Mac and Pear Butter were killed in a magical firestorm caused by a unicorn, hence AJ’s hatred of magic
- Just like canon, the Pear and Apple families eventually make peace with one another
Pinkie Pie’s family next! ;3
