Big twist: The Brenner scene is just a flashback in one episode and he isn't anywhere in the rest of the season.

Most of my Stranger Things posts are about how Dr. Brenner is basically a fill in for a better Peter Coyote character, i dunno.
Y'all thought Matthew Modine was playing Dr. Brenner again but it just turned out he was in the Operation: Varsity Blues scandal movie on Netflix.
I wish I could be more hype for the possibility of Brenner returning but it's just more of the same theories revolving around death wishes on the character instead of learning about something deeper about him and why he did what he did.
I'm tired of expecting way too much out of Stranger Things and getting the minimum back in return. I'm tired. 😩

Sorry everybody but my tastes are changing and I'm not as interested in or as hyped for Stranger Things as I once was and new responsibilities in my life will probably keep me from engaging with the fandom as I once did.

Does anyone at all remember during the gap between seasons 2 and 3 where Matthew Modine was hinting at a potential spinoff or movie about Brenner in Europe doing some sort of upside down fact finding adventure mission? What happened to that? I sort of remember him posting about it in Instagram a billion years ago.
