some of my favorite doggie pics to start the week ^_^
being an animal caregiver is up there with my favorite jobs i’ve done. i think every kid (or a lot of ‘em!) dream of being in a career surrounding animals. i wanted to be a veterinarian first (duh), and even dressed as a “zombie pet shop owner” clad in mutant rats and plastic stethoscopes. i remember spending hours going through the same dog encyclopedias, trying to decide which dog i liked best on each page (lol!)
it’s such a treat that i’ve come full circle, hanging out with cats and dogs for a living.
it’s made me the happiest i’ve ever been.

If you have a dog, it needs to be on a leash. I don’t care how well behaved it is, how much you’ve trained it, if it’s in your yard, if you’re walking it, it NEEDS TO BE ON A LEASH.
Not just for your dog’s safety, but for the safety of other dogs. For the safety of dogs and people who are just walking by. The amount of times my dog has been attacked by dogs that are not on leashes is insane.
No matter how big or small, if your dog is not in your house or in your backyard where it cannot get out, put that damn dog on a fucking LEASH!!
