Dark Souls The Board Game - Tumblr Posts

Finished painting the core set of the Dark Souls Board Game a while ago. Only now gotten the chance to take some good photos of it!
Went for a simpler, faster look for these miniatures so it was a lot of drybrushing and shading. I didn’t want to spend months wetblending these minis.
Tried to make all the miniatures as game accurate as possible so no bright colours for me :(

Finished the phantoms expansion for dark souls the board game. Was pretty cool experimenting with a limited colour palette to paint these suckers.
Painting the black phantoms was especially satisfying.

Titanite Demon was a bit tricky but the monotone colour scheme was really forgiving.

The winged knight was a little tricky but it was pretty nice to experiment with metal drybrushing.

Probably my favorite out of the core set. The sculpt was really good for the gargoyle so I could really highlight it. The metal oxidation was also a lot of fun to paint.

Outrider knight was real hard to get right as I had to balance making him too blue and not blue enough.

Ornstein and Smough where fun to paint. Went with slightly different shades of gold for their armour which worked out well. Real annoying to take photos of tho.

Tried to do some sourcepoint lighting on the dancer because of their sword. Came out looking pretty great.
