Secondo is a ladies' man, and my headcanon is that he is very obviously a player, but when he meets you, he unconsciously starts to slow down. He starts imagining taking you places that rather than look for the most appealing piece of eye candy he can for events he starts to think of you instead. How he wants to bring just you to places, spend more time with you, he wants to spend money on you and make you the most jaw dropping sight in the world, not for others but for himself. He wants to see you in a dark green dress and wants to give you a necklace of bruises and kiss marks.

He wants to ask you to parties with him and realizes that his eyes aren't straying like they used to and that he's not partying as hard as he used to to stay up longer and spend more time with you. He's running more at your pace now than he is his own.

And then it hits him over the head like a brick.

Oh.

Oh no.

He immediately starts to panic because Secondo has never before been a one woman man. He thinks his life is over. The man might actually think that relationships are a life ruiner. He may think that you will drain all the fun out of what he does. That and he may not be able to enjoy the parties or luxurys he usually does.

But if you're with Papa Emeritus the II there is a big chance you live the same lifestyle as him. Parties and fun, sex, drugs, and rock and roll or, in this case, metal. When he realizes that he just gets to enjoy more of this with someone he genuinely likes than just someone he meets in the town, he realizes that maybe this isn't so bad. It's you. What's to worry about?

Man is hit hard with denial at first. No, he's not in love with you. He doesn't fall in love. Love is the enemy. Keep it five thousand yards away from him. No, thank you. Fuck off.

I also like to imagine him going to Primo in a panic and saying

"I'm in love!" And Primo patting him in the back with a seldom nod.
