Taking a break from writing and appreciating my curls.

This is with Aussie brands, since I ran out of my usual Cantu products a few months ago just before I cut off my hair. And the Aussie kids was a lot cheaper.

Left my hair feeling dry, didn’t curl properly, would get crunchy. I just started to curl it with a flat iron and tie it up.

I finally got to the Afrikan market near my place and asked for advice from someone with textured hair who got me to try Kuza with Jamaican black castor oil and Mane ‘n Tail conditioner (made for animals and humans, it’s amazing). Pairs nicely with the Cantu curl cream I still have and my hair loves me.

It’s not heavy, it’s curling all over rather than just on top, and it’s not too hot anymore.

If you have curly hair and come across this, highly recommend asking for advice from people who would know the most about caring for curls and find your own routine. I put in conditioner with my head upside down and brush it through with a detangle brush, then brush it as I rinse. Put in the curl cream with it dripping wet, and scrunch it dry with an old cotton shirt.
