So many greens!! Lettuces, chard, broccoli, Swiss chard, spinach, and a whole lot of mixed micro greens. I'll thin out the micro green beds but leave a nice mix in there to mature so I'll have greens all summer. As soon as the weather stabilizes I'll add tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers.

Super lazy polyculture!!!! All of these scallions were regrown from the base of scallions from the supermarket. I let them soak in a cup of water for a week and stuck them in random containers of greens to keep the buggies away. I trim what I need off the top and just let them keep growing.

Garden Update! My Herb Baskets Have Really Grown Up And Are Shooting Up To Bloom For The Pollinators

Garden Update! My herb baskets have really grown up and are shooting up to bloom for the pollinators to come by. Same goes for my butter crunch lettuce.

I was able to successfully move 3/4 of my Brussels sprouts to individual pots to help them flourish more. And look! I have broccoli and carrots coming in!

The newest addition: squash and zucchini. I’m going to work on building a wire trellis along the fence for them to climb today so they have get big and produce lots of veggies.

I Love Growing Things. Turned This Little Concrete Patio Into A Very Green Space - And An Edible One

I love growing things. Turned this little concrete patio into a very green space - and an edible one too. Now I just need to help eating all of this. Who wants to come chill on the patio?

Garden update!

So the box has been completely turned over to squash and zucchini, and one tomato sucker I stuck in it. Speaking of tomatoes, about a month ago, I was at my parents house, and my dad had plucked some big suckers off his tomato plants. I grabbed three and drove them to the beach. Those things were completely wilted over and on their last leg, but I didn’t give up hope for them. Long story short, look at them in my Home Depot bucket - flowering and everything.

I also have a makeshift propagation corner going on in my kitchen right now. Using some old beer bottles and what I had on hand. Seems to be working just fine.

Today, I held:

A tiny baby painted turtle who was NOT happy about it. (He was placed back in the pond soon thereafter.)

A handful of cherry tomatoes and peppers from my garden!
