In all seriousness though, I’m not sure yet- I’ve been questioning for almost a year now (I think?) and I have no definite answer yet haha.
I know that whatever type of identity I have (ie. hearttype, kintype, etc.), it’s a great ape; mayhaps all the great apes as a whole. I have considered the possibility of being a Great Ape Cladotherian, and it would make a lot of sense for my experiences! I have noticed that I feel a tad more connected to Orangutans, though! I also presume I am a tree-dweller, so that rules out a few ape species (definitely not human-kin LOL). Though while I have traits that would "rule out" some species, I also recognize that since my great ape identity is likely a psychological one, as opposed to spiritual, I think it's more likely that I may have a less defined -type. (Though it would be great to pin it down more- I love me some specifics, haha!)
A bit more rambly elaboration: As briefly mentioned before, I'm also not sure what "kind" of identity this is. I'm definitely leaning more toward heartedness and/or -kin. I feel as though the apes are family to me, and that we would understand each other better than with humans (obviously not like,, *literally* and in this body, but you catch my drift). Often with my hearttypes, I may define them as "I feel like I was meant to be born as/amongst this, but regardless I am *not* this", and this may be the case for this identity, but I'm not sure yet.
Sorry for the ramble ^^; It was super fun to write this all down though! Also great to see other primates around in this community!! :] Was also wondering if you know of any other primate alterhumans on tumblr? I'd love to follow some!

I've answered this already but I'll add onto why I identify as/with them and how I discovered them!!
Clado canine-Well, to be frank I was always treated like a wild animal when I was young and so I took to dogs and now I identify as a canine.
Fox/Cross fox-Well, I just sorta got shifts and pseudo memories and now here I am lol.
Paleokin-Same as fox!!! Took more research though.
Ram-Kin shifts, it was the kin shifts.
Otter-Well? There's not much to it except for the fact I took to the water and saw myself in them and now I identify as one.
Bat-Pseudo memories!! And phantom limbs!! Took a lot of research.

no i dont think they should be on the internet making videos (for safety reasons) but i dont think theres anything wrong with identifying with therianthropy at that age
i was always a therian. i didnt know what the label was until i was 17 but as a kid id always known i was a bear. i used to get told to "stop eating like an animal" and wrinkle my nose up in a snarl and bare my teeth. Or id be told to stop running around on all fours because id hurt myself, i was told to act "normal"
ive been like this as long as i remember. So why would i ever deny someone else the right to be themselves?

My sister got me one of those necks laces with the rubber charms that you chew on when you’re nervous and lemme tell you.. this gift is PERFECT for alterhumans. /gen
Teeth shifts? Satisfied. Biting urges? Satisfied. Anxiousness? Satisfied.
Ofc, the rubber is a bit hard so for those with sensitive / weak teeth, beware and be cautious. After biting on it for awhile it gets softer, though!

Question for alterhumans
I'm a werewolf kin, but I don't know if what I'm experiencing is a therian thing, otherkin thing, or a lycanthope thing. I would love some help.
So I am a werewolf, I know that. But I don't feel it physically. I feel it physiologically. But when I see a werewolf, I think "that's me 100%"
And I know I'm a cladotherian of canines, but of any canine being to ever exist, real & fictional. That I 100% know.
But, that's why I'm having such a hard time under what I am with this kin. If anyone can help, PLEASE do. I'm struggling
How the hell am I supposed to explain to people that I'm a therian, but I'm literally every canine being ever to be told.

no. I'm that because I'm that. I personally can't choose who and what I am. And there's no reason why I'm that besides that I'm that.
Some people out there COULD have a reason. Some people out there could've chose their kin because of a reason. But that's not me. I can't choose who I am.
Don't make me have reasons that isn't true.
I love being a ficto-canine cladotherian, and a canine cladotherian, because I am basically every canine.

I have no limit. And that makes me feel more comfortable in my body. It makes me feel like I'm valid as a therian & a alterhuman in general. I love me, because I feel like my life now has no restrictions.
Of course, I know there's gonna be some people that would call me a fake, but that's okay, because I personally know I'm not, and I don't need anyone else's approval with who I am.
Remember, you don't have to worry about what other people think, as long as you know that you're telling the truth. As long as you're doing that, then you should be happy with who you are! Remember, as long as you're telling the truth, you're valid. If you happen to make a mistake, that's okay, because you're still valid! Everyone is valid!
