In this Lyni is 5'9 to Crosshair's 6'2.

Phee is 6ft to Tech's 6'2.

The twins shoulders are at Lyni's waist.

The Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (My Babies)

I think that Lyni's niece Shadow is autistic. That's one of the reasons she normally doesn't talk and just hates certain textures and tastes. Her twin Brutal on the other hand will try anything but won't eat if Shadow isn't. Lyni has a lot of stress because of this and always makes their food herself.

Crosshair's cousins don't believe that he's actually turning into a family man. That is until they hear him giving a twenty minute lecture on how Shadow likes things before producing a list of her likes and dislikes to check everything against. Now theirs a betting pool on his relationship with Lyni and the kids.

Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (Sick)

Lyni gets sick at the same time every year. This time Cross and the Batch are around. Lyni and the kids have found a separate apartment from everyone else at this point.

The familiar alert for a text came breaking the silence in Crosshair's bedroom. Groaning slightly he turned over to look at what it was. Seeing Lyni's name he sat up and opened the message. A quiet question to see if the kids could stay over for a few days. He didn't need to ask the others, he knew that they'd be thrilled to have the twins around again. Texting back he asked when to pick them up and why they were coming. All he got in response was to pick them up after school.

Messages all day, and not one response. Crosshair was trying not to pace the living room with the impatience he felt. Partly for something to do he starting making the tuesday snack for the twins.

Finally Crosshair an answer for what was happening, but not from Lyni. Brutal hugged a happy Hunter before asking, "Can we make soup?"

Blinking the tattooed man answered, "Of course kid." Then seeing Shadow sign to Brutal he asked, "What does she say?"

The child answered, "Aunt Lyni likes to have beef soup when she is sick."

Tech and Crosshair exchanged a look as Hunter asked, "Is your aunt feeling sick?"

Orange skinned head nodding yes, "Aunt Lyni always feels sick this time of year." Looking up at them, "Normally she stays in her room, waiting for it to pass." Then with a grin, "She thinks that with you to look after us it will go away faster."

After dinner and talking about how to make the soup, while planning on getting the ingredients tomorrow, Tech helped the twins with their homework before they played with Wrecker until it was time for bed. Then they clung to Crosshair and asked for a bedtime story, which was much more of a Hunter thing. But with the smile from his brother to encourage him Cross was able to get the twins though their bedtime routine and to sleep.

Later lying in his bed Crosshair couldn't help but wonder how Lyni was doing. What kind of sickness was it? Could he help?

The next day Crosshair dropped the kids off at school before going to check on Lyni. Knocking on the apartment door he didn't hear anything so he took out the key and entered. Walking in while calling her and shutting the door firmly behind him he made his way down the hall. The sight in the kitchen made his heart drop.

Lyni was curled up on the floor seeming to have fainted after trying to get breakfast. The milk sitting on the counter was still cold so it could not have been that long ago. But touching her head he could feel the fever and saw the sweat that beaded on her forehead.

Lifting her into his arms he carried her back to her bed and tucked her in before putting things in the kitchen away and grabbing a chair to sit in by her bed until she woke up. It was close to an hour later that she did, stirring and blinking up at him, "Cross?"

Leaning forward he took her hand, "Hey," checking her pupils again for signs of concussion, "how are you feeling?"

With a slight groan, "No better than to be expected." Sighing while squeezing his hand a bit, "I knew this year was going to be harder than usual."

The words were out of his mouth before he could think, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Smiling slightly at him, "Some oatmeal would be nice."

Brushing back her hair from her sweaty forehead, "Coming right up." Then he went to get it. Bringing back the oatmeal and milk on a tray so that she could eat sitting up in bed.

A beautiful smile came in response, "Thank you." Starting to eat she asked, "What brought you to my humble apartment?" There was both teasing and concern in her voice. She wanted to know if the twins were okay.

Lounging in the chair he brought in from the dining room, "I just wanted to see how you were doing." Swallowing, "Brutal said you were sick but I...."

"You did not expect to see me on the floor?" Lyni finished neatly. He nodded. The panic he had felt in that moment came back but was chased away as she reached out to squeeze his hand. Still holding on to him she answered, "It's alright, you don't have to worry about me."

Crosshair nodded once, "I don't have to." Putting the back of his hand against her forehead, "But I do."

******* And so the next two days went, with Crosshair getting Lyni what she needed and making sure that she did not collapse again. He kept in contact with his brothers, making sure that they were up to date on what was happening with the twins as well. But they understood as soon as Cross told them that he had found Lyni collapsed on the floor that their brother was going to be at the apartment for the long haul.

Lynis fever had still not broken on the third day of Crosshair's stay and he was getting even more concerned. After lunch she spoke about it, "Cross," getting his attention back to her instead of the book he was reading out loud, "when you asked what you could do to help..."

He leaned forward, "Is there something you have in mind?"

It could have been the flush from the fever but she could also have been blushing, "There is something we used to do in the village when my brothers or I were sick." He motioned for her to continue, "Well, we found that skin contact helped." Now she wasn't looking at him as she fiddled with her fingers, "My brothers would take off their shirt and we would do a litter pile."

Crosshair stood up from his chair and started to walk to the other side of the bed. Putting the book on the bed stand he pulled off his shirt and settled down on the other side of the bed. Extending an arm in invitation for Lyni to curl up next to him. Shuffling over she laid her head on his bare chest, with an arm across his waist. Picking up the book he began to read again as if this was the most normal thing in the world.

Lyni was right, two hours after they started to cuddle her fever broke. And by Sunday she was fully recovered from her annual sickness, but not before Crosshair realized something. He was fully and completely in love with this woman.

Bad Batch Modern AU, Random Moments

*Batch Boys arguing in the background*

Lyni - "Maul if you start demon screaming I'm stabbing you."

Midnight darkness, Wrecker walking down the hall and sees two green glowing eyes.

Lyni - "Wrecker are, stop screaming you'll wake the twins, are we out of red weed?"

Crosshair staring at the ceiling fan, "If that could chop meat it would be a menace."

Hunter - "Who left the fridge open?"

Wrecker vibrating, "There are so many ways to blow this up!"

Crosshair waking up at three in the morning feeling watched and jumping seeing glowing eyes.

Brutal - "I had a bad dream."

Tech *explaining all the reasons Shadow hanging from the ceiling is natural*.

Hunter, "How do we convince her to come down?"

Brutal - Comes in the room with his twin sister Shadow, "Crosshair, we made a family bracelet for you."

Crosshair - Hesitating, "I'm not a jewelry person."

Both kids sagging while Brutal says, "You don't have to wear it."

Crosshair - Takes and immediately puts it on, "No, I'm going to wear it forever. No take backs."

Then takes a picture of the three of them wearing their matching bracelets.

Hunter - Sees his brother matching the twins, "When will he admit he's a buir?"

Tech, "When he admits he loves Lyni "

Hunter groaning into his hands, "I'm glad Lyni is around."

Tech, "Is it because of the lung cancer and alcohol facts that Crosshair avoided or because of the giant amount of work she takes off of you?"

Hunter, "Yes."

Wrecker, "Don't forget the kids!"

Tech, "The eight year old twins are a definite perk."

Die Young by Sylvan Esso just fits how Crosshair feels. He literally was going to die young because he had no real plans except protecting his bros. Now he has a tiny family with Lyni, Shadow and Brutal.

Crosshair wakes up to find Lyni under one arm with her back to him, Shadow curled up by her chest and Brutal thrown over all their legs.

Crosshair - " Can I just sleep?"

He doesn't really mind though. He likes that Lyni and the twins trust him enough to go to him when they have trouble sleeping. Which usually end up in all four sleeping in the same spot/on each other like cats in a 'litter pile'.

Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (Cross middle fingers the Government)

So in my last one Lyni is basically going to be deported due to not being legal and having a terrorist use her as a bargaining chip. In the stress induced state, she and Cross get engaged. This is what happens next.

Crosshair woke up in Lyni's apartment with his arms around her slender form and a giant smile on his face. This is all that he had wanted, now she was his fiance. Looking around the world had not seemed so bright in ages.

Making breakfast for Lyni and the kids he remembered that tonight was the eighteen month anniversary of the day he found out about the twins and got her email address. So it was really the anniversary of them being friends. Smiling he decided to make her a picnic to celebrate. It had been a few days since he had proposed to her and he had bought the ring he had been considering for it. So now it was time to make it official. But that would wait until their picnic that afternoon.

The ringtone saved for Fox's work phone range though the quiet apartment and his heart sank. No good news ever followed when it rang in the middle of one of his cousins shifts. Picking it up he heard his cousins voice, "Crosshair, is Lyni with you?"

Swallowing, "No, shes at work. What's wrong?" A sudden dread, "Is it the twins?"

"No, the kids are fine Crossy." Old nickname, not good. Fox continued, "The higher ups have given the requirements that Lyni would have to meet in order not to be sent back to the cult."

"What are they?" Crosshair's voice came out harsher but his cousin didn't blame him.

Sighing, "Cross, they need proof of citizenship." Continuing on, "If there was a visa it could be negotiated but we both know that Lyni doesn't have any legal paperwork to be here."

It was true. That's how they had met Riyo Churchi in the first place, to try and get that legal paperwork straightened out. Crosshair asked, "Marriage has given a green card before right?"

"Yes but..." then Fox seemed to realize, "Cross are you just going to marry her to keep her here?"

"No Fox," taking a deep breath, "I'm engaged to her, but we haven't announced it yet because I just barely go the ring yesterday."

Fox was swearing softly on the other side of the phone before saying, "I'll call Riyo and she'll get on the paperwork for Lyni to be a military wife." Blowing out a breath, "You'll get some flack for this Cross."

"I know," he answered, "but if it keeps Lyni and those kids safe I will take whatever is thrown at me."

There was a soft chuckle on the other side of the line, "I know vod'ika." Then the two said their goodbyes and Crosshair was left in the quiet again.

Lyni got the call from Riyo as she was walking home and ran to Crosshair's arms when she got there. They discussed the hope their marriage brought to the table and decided then and there they were marrying ASAP. So each showered and changed before going to Riyos office. Crosshair was in dress uniform and Lyni was in a floor length , long sleeved blue dress that matched her eyes perfectly.

At Riyos office they got all the paperwork done and submitted into the systems there. And then they went down the plaza with her to the little marriage ceremony at the court house and submit paperwork there as well. Crosshair and Lyni were legally and lawfully married.

********** The next day was a Saturday and they were having a family picnic to celebrate. There was going to be a reception on the Sunday after to officially introduce Lyni to the family as Crosshairs wife.

Laughter rang through the air as the Shadow and Brutal played tag with Wrecker though the park as Hunter kept an eye on them. Tech has started recording them amused and Phee leaned on his shoulder contentedly. Crosshair was sitting with his back against a tree, Lyni between his knees with back against his chest laughing softly as she watched the kids run around happily.

Suddenly the peace of the day was broken by an official call berating Crosshair for finding a loophole that would not allow the higher ups to get rid of their problem by sending Lyni away and getting information in return. A few choice words showed exactly what he thought of that and then he looked back to where he let his wife who was now talking to Phee. A soft smile broke on his face as he looked at Lyni reveled in the thought, my wife."

So yeah, Crosshair did an F-you to the idea of sending Lyni back to a violent cult. And the fact that he got to marry her is a triple bonus. Now he is just waiting for the adoption papers for the twins to go though and they'll be an official family.

Lyni: "My love."

Brutal and Shadow: "Dad."

Crosshair had to avoid crying when he heard the kids call him dad the first few times. But joy always fill him with these three.

Crosshair: I am darkness. I am a power. I am your worst nightmare. I could kill a man in more ways than you can imagine. I am the night. I am fury, I am a weapon, I am-

Echo: A doll.

Hunter: A cinnamon roll.

Tech: A sweetheart.

Crosshair: ...

Crosshair: Stop it.

Bad Batch Crosshair - Modern AU (Family is Annoying in any Universe)

A short look into the reception for Crosshair and Lyni's marriage.

Crosshair felt joy in his chest waking up next to Lyni. So much so that he dreaded his next deployment because it meant he had to take a break from being next to her. But Riyo promised that by his next leave the adoption papers for the twins Brutal and Shadow would be though then he could take all three to get military IDs.

And after the adoption goes through we'll take a vacation just the four of us, he promised himself. It was a promise that was keeping him from murdering many of his family members at this reception. They were testing his patience with the entirety of the Fett clan turning out to meet who one of their party boys was settling down with.

Looking around he could see his brothers talking to their cousins Cody and Rex, with a few of their brothers standing close by. Wolffe with his eye patch was giving stern stares at anyone who was headed his way so most steered clear of him. Shadow and Brutal were playing with some of the younger members of the clan, and Lyni was keeping a watchful eye on them.

Soon Jango started walking over, and Crosshair could feel the anger build up in him at the sight of the man. Most of his brothers had a strained relationship with their father, who was rightly called a dead beat. Jango had done little to raise them, preferring to leave them with the women that he slept with only to turn up later with gifts to try and mend the rift. One of the reasons Crosshair had slept around so much was because he was tired of fighting the expectation with Jango Fett as his father.

Lyni's slender hand slipped into his and Cross felt his anger melt away with her touch. Turning he smiled at his Riddur, his wife, and tried to ignore the man coming towards them. Jango had not gotten the hint, "Crosshair, why didn't you tell me you had such a lovely Cyre?"

Because my sweetheart is none of your business he wanted to say but didn't. Instead stating, "You have never been interested before."

Lyni squeezed his hand with her left as she extended her right, "It is nice to meet you Mr Fett, I'm Lyni."

Smiling the flirtatious smile he turned on all of his children's partners Jango answered taking her hand to shake, "What a lovely name for a lovely lady."

Raising an eyebrow, "A compliment that will never be returned to you sir." Crosshair snorted at the look on his fathers face but Lyni gave her practiced smile, "Now if you excuse us I have other members of the family to meet." Giving him a short nod she and Crosshair walked away and continued meeting members of the family.

There was Alpha and his generation, Colt and the rest of the uncles, Cody and the rest of the older cousins and then Tup and the rest of the younger cousins. Not to mention the spouses and partners of many of the older ones. Colt wife Shaak Ti stepped forward and took Lynis hands into hers, "Do not worry young one." With one of the tougura woman's gentle smiles, "Everyone will fall in place given time." Lyni just nodded and followed Cross some more.

Finally they had mad the rounds and settled at a picnic table for some lunch. Lyni relaxed a bit when Shadow and Brutal joined them with Wrecker following. He had also been playing with the kids but stopped when the twins wanted to rest. At this table for a moment they were just the Bad Batch and the Dathmarian trio. Lyni leaned her head on Crosshair's shoulder and sighed, "Is it always like this?" Her hand motioned to the chaos of the family unfolding around them.

Crosshair wrapped an arm around her shoulders while Hunter patted her shoulder comfortingly, "Only on a full get together. Otherwise there are less people." Lyni nodded once but sat up with with her practiced smile on her face when others joined the table.

I'm sorry if it did not have as much interactions with the clones as wanted and/or expected. I am just trying to stay writing on a regular basis and this is what came out.

Shadow and Brutal love to play squish the Crosshair, where they pile on him. Crosshair is surprisingly okay with this and has also encouraged games squish the Wrecker and squish the Hunter. Tech is the only one not on rotation at this point.

Hunter: You get trapped in cuddle piles with Lyni and the twins.

Crosshair: Leave my wife and kids out of this.

Crosshair: I hate being touched. The only physical contact I would tolerate is punching someone in the face.

Hunter: Echo is literally hugging you right now.

Crosshair: This is completely different.

Crosshair looks to Lyni who does not meet his eyes as she laughs. Brutal asks, "Can we watch Lilo and Stitch?"

Crosshair: I’m mean and cold-hearted. I don’t need anyone or any comforts.

Echo: Shut the fuck up Crosshair, you get hurt if one of us doesn’t tuck you in and cry every time you watch Lilo & Stitch.

Mini Mundi on Pabu

I just had an angsty thought and have to share it.

Okay I my story "Mundi Family" some of the Galactic Marines meets General Mundi wives and kids. One of which is my OC, a little girl about 5. Which leads me to think, what if she gets captured and but in the vault with the rest of the kids! And when the land on Pabu the Batch learn that one of the clones they saved was not only a Galactic Marine that went to the homestead and befriended the little girl, he was in the line that killed her Dad!

So there are a lot of emotions on this troopers side when the little one is just happy to have her friend back.

Shadow: To Hunter, "Where do babies come from?"

Hunter: "Good question kid." Points at Crosshair, "Ask your Uncle Cross."

Shadow: "Ok." Walks over to Crosshair, "Uncle Cross, where do babies come from?"

Crosshair: Living error screen.

Brutal: Shooting a water gun: "Die imperial scum!"

Lyni: Standing on the front porch and shaking her head before turning to Crosshair, "This is your doing."

Crosshair: So proud.
